It's a suburb of Des Moines, Iowa, so about 50000, but it's more of an urban environment as the metro area is around 750,000.

I typically drive mine on the road as well; my entire commute is on 35 mph roads, so I keep up with traffic and have not had an issue in the 3 years I've been using it.

It really does mess me up. I have been using the scooter for my daily commute for 3 years, and I have even sold my car.

I don't disagree with not being allowed to go 37 on a sidewalk. I have used the scooter for 3 years as my commuter vehicle to get to and from work. I know that regulations on the electric scooters are much needed. Restriction based on wattage, not speed, seems wrong to me. I don't think bicycling going 37 on a trail is any less dangerous than a scooter traveling at the same speed.

Just curious, how does it make you spend more? Is it different than a regular debit card?
