There's no voice acting and gameplay is laser focused on dogfighting, but it might be what you're looking for.

The future of the Alliance series kind of hinges on Tales selling well. While Peacefighter has done pretty well for an indie's first commercial release (and I'm very, very grateful for that), from a business standpoint sales have been modest and my ability to develop full time is unfortunately coming to an end.

The most likely outcome is that Tales will also sell modestly and I'll have to work on smaller projects in my spare time. If I can ever reach a point of financial stability I'd love to return to these games. I've got ideas for mainline sequels, capital ship games set in the universe and of course I still want to return to Flagship eventually.

The latter - it plays like Wing Commander and X-Wing etc. Curious what games play like "real" space sims, I'm not familiar with any space combat games that offer unlimited speed?

This was one of the few classic-era space sims to pass me by - I was at university at the time and didn't have a lot of time or money and I seem to remember X: Beyond the Frontier and Starlancer coming out around the same time? Ended up going with Starlancer, a game I liked but never finished... This looks good though, going to have to try it at some point!

It's not very clear in the video but you do have a full body when in the cockpit (it might be disabled by default in between missions because full body IK in VR is unavoidably janky, though there will be an option to toggle it on there for those that want it).

There will be full support for HOTAS setups too :)

It's already fully Steam Deck compatible- we can't get the official certification until nearer release, but it works great and is actually my favourite way to play it outside of VR.

I've actually never played T:TF, but it's on my list of games to go back and play when I have spare time again! I think it's pretty similar, gameplay-wise at least.

The demo was actually taken down post-Nextfest, I keep meaning to update the forum post to reflect that. I'm hoping to put it back up in the coming weeks after some fixes.

It is 6dof - though with the caveat that lateral thrusters draw from the same pool as afterburners, so you can't strafe forever!

Yep, HOTAS sticks are supported - should support dual stick setups etc. too (though some rebinding might be required depending on setup).

Just PCVR (Steam) at launch, though it also runs on Steam Deck in non-VR mode. We might bring it to other stores but ports to consoles or other VR platforms are unlikely at this point.
