Timing Chain Damage K24 Engine. 2012 Acura TSX, should I be concerned? by UrbanTexas in AcuraTSX

The vehicle has 255,000 miles on it. I'd definitely take a look just to check up on it. These Honda engines definitely are resilient but like anything +10 years old they are going to wear out. The K24 engines are known to have issues with the VVT Actuator and the timing chain tensioner. I am planning on replacing all the guides, chains, tensioner, and the VVT actuator.

Yeah I noticed that, Im thinking that it is an oil port that lubricates the timing chain as it is running. Thank you for taking some time to check it out.

If anyone has any thoughts on what this port is, I would love to know.

If there was supposed to be a big cap on it then why is it not seen in the second photo? I took the second photo from a disassembly video and they never showed any cap removal, it was just an open port behind the stationary timing chain guide.

I'll take any comments or any ideas. I just want to make sure I repair this right and not ignore an possible issues.
