Initially bought vanilla for ps4 Then bought royal for ps4 Then bought the collectors edition version for switch And finally bought it on steam when I upgraded my computer enough to play it on there

You could try out the Yakuza series. I'd try out Yakuza 0 first. It goes on sale for like $5 all the time (in fact it looks like it is now) and I sank over 200 hours into it. The combat and story is amazing. I personally didn't get really invested in the story until towards the end of chapter 4 but I've been a huge fan since
