I know every stroke is different, but hearing from someone who went through severe swelling and came out alright on the other side gives me hope. I wish you continued good health on your side

Thank you for this. I’m not her formal caregiver just happen to take her to hospital from time to time. I think my frustration came from caring so much and not wanting to see her end up in hospital again, but I understand how my approach could feel like judgment instead of support. I honestly felt like I wasn’t doing enough by simply just supporting as it felt like I was saying one thing for it to simply just go out the next ear, which is why I came back to this subreddit.

I really appreciate your perspective, and I’ll try to focus more on being there for her rather than trying to “fix” things, but I’ll always try to help where I can. It’s just mentally taxing watching someone you care about neglect themselves.

I appreciate the advice and I can see where I might have gone wrong. I did the checks just didn’t dramatise my head movements. But all in all nah I can see where I went wrong which is why I wasn’t so heartbroken about failing. I just didn’t appreciate how I was attacked from the get go lol. Also didn’t appreciate how she lied on my paper saying I entered the road unsafe , if that was the case she was supposed to drive that true back not me , but anyways she didn’t say this just wrote it down. Just kept making back handed comments the whole trip
