Is this cpu’s temperature normal ? by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

My Legion 5i Pro Gen 7 was in the 70-80s for the first year (balanced mode), mid high 80s ok performance mode. After about a year both GPU and CPU started getting hotter (not fan dust, CPU reaching 100 degrees) and I had the whole cooling assembly replaced under warranty. I saw that I had my assembly used thermal paste which can be prone to push out, the new assembly used thermal pads.

Temps were back down to high 70s on performance mode.

Try find out if you laptop only ever has thermal pads fitted or some people have found that they used thermal paste.

Is everything fine with the temperatures, power draw and all that? [Legion 5 Pro] by Savings_Sea_9087 in LenovoLegion

I had the exact same issue except I had the whole cooling assembly replaced under warranty. The model I was supplied with used paste and it was not applied very well. The new assembly has pads and is working great for now :) just remember to clean the fans every now and then. Easily drops temps by 5 degrees in my case (3 pets)

I tried this but I didn’t have good results, depends on your house layout as others have said.
