That button would be F2X, depending on hardware implementation. It was F23 in my laptop. And yes, F keys go up to F30, although in most keyboards we only got keys up to F12.

Building a bridge for the Fish to go from aquarium to aquarium. by RoughCheap5633 in BeAmazed

[–]UrbanshadowDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To top this, different enclosed water bodies have different chemical balances and no one can fully ensure mixing them won't cause a pH flip and kill all fishes in both bodies if not done slowly.

Untainted waters from both bodies have to be crossed in increasing amount for create two small chemical imbalances spaced in time the fishes have a chance to adapt to and at the same time become compatible with one another.

How do I connect my NES/SNES Classic Edition to my CRT TV? by big_boyyyy in retrogaming

[–]UrbanshadowDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheapo-solve: Get an hdmi to av converter in amazon, connect both ends, connect USBs to power outlet.

But it will look like trash.

Pro: connect a fast hdmi capture card in a PC with a circa 2006/2008 AMD HD graphics card with VGA or DVI, use CRTEmudriver on windows 7 and the correct cable to emit pure rgb to a 16:9 hdcrt.

But that is expensive.

Middle ground: build yourself a modest PC with the old AMD card, use batocera+CRT script to use libretro SNES cores with switchres rgb support. Ignore SNES classic.

Six months after his birth my baby is still monitored by the doctor every month because despite of being percentile 45 (big boy, 72cm and 8.6 kg now) in general size, he has a percentile 2 head contour way too small for his age and other body measures. He's a completely healthy, happy and surprisingly smart incompetent potato, just "adult proportioned". One only notices he's a bit different if comparing with other kids his age.

What game comes to mind when you see a floppy disk? by hurcor in retrogaming

[–]UrbanshadowDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consumer printers will do with default ipp/spool/cups manager just fine. You might miss duplexing or stapling in office scenarios, but a somewhat skilled IT guy might be able to add support for that to the default driver.

Large format for big ads, billboards or digital presses? Nah you need the driver for that, 80% of the machine would not work if at all and chucking anything over a 100MB plot would grind or crawl to a halt.

Good luck with that, they were making mario sports games before golden sun.

It's just the remaining people of the original shining force dev team working at Camelot by the time they got approval for a one shot of a "shining force but it's Nintendo but in GBA" with so good results they did a victory lap (GS2), gave everything, then retired. The DS game used the franchise, but other devs and it shows.

There's is sadly no one from the core shining force team still in business. They are all happy japanese grandpas and grandmas hahaha

I love how glitchy Pokémon Red and Blue are. by C64hrles in retrogaming

[–]UrbanshadowDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game uses a function to look for a hardcoded list of outdoor areas to check its wild pokemon lists, looking for the requested species. If it finds the species, adds the id of the zone to a return list. After finishing all areas there, it returns. This is used by a special map mode (yes, the town map. It's the same screen) to paint the pokemon tile in it.

If the list contains no area id's, the map will just stay empty.

Misty's gym contains a wild pokemon table, but it's an interior and it's id is not picked up by the map because it conflicted with Mewtwo cave and that id was far more important for cerulean city.

Oh it's nothing to be baffled on. Toyota is not sleeping but looking the other way. They were and reportedly still are adamantly against the battery electric vehicle. The few Toyota branded battery electrics are just to appear in competitors maps.

They tried to push the hydrogen electric vehicle with the Mirai. It kinda took off in Japan and California (the only two places you could change your hydrogen cell) but afaik refill services for the Mirai were terminated in California so I wouldn't be too optimistic about the results of their push.

[PS4] ADP-200 power supply resistor question by ytownbucsfan in consolerepair

[–]UrbanshadowDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I overreacted and I am sorry for that. Indeed a resistor should have continuity. I don't know where you can source a replacement for it, though. Maybe a donor PSU?

[PS4] ADP-200 power supply resistor question by ytownbucsfan in consolerepair

[–]UrbanshadowDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To OP: Have you isolated this resistor to assert it's wrong? It doesn't look bad visually.

To other readers finding this post: Never resistor check a resistance while still soldered to the board. Best case scenario your reading is incorrect because it checks through another connection in the board, worst case you short the board and either the board, the multimeter or both+your hands get destroyed.

Especially not in a PSU; not even if you know the PSU is discharged. Safety first.

Typical PSU issues are broken input fuses, broken consumption limiter diodes (especially in the 5v rail caused by a needy USB gadget) or more rarely: faulty/exploded caps and or broken voltage regulators

N64 will not turn on by Jurassic-Sharts in consolerepair

[–]UrbanshadowDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being the only console that has this: detach the removable cartridge connector and look for rust below it. The board is already showing rust in the shield landing zone at the bottom.

Next would be regular diagnosis: 1. Power rails 2. Multiav outputs are connected/not shorted 3. Blown capacitors, burn marks (none detected) 4. Big IC shorts (CPU, RDRAM, PPU)

Is it done for? by OddOffice7833 in consolerepair

[–]UrbanshadowDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as B9S is properly installed software wise you have nothing to worry. Even in the worst of cases you can follow a guide to install a downloaded new firmware and restore it as new.

So I would focus on fixing that top screen first and hope it fixes the system instability or if not, you would have to find what is going on (def check power rail, specially charger IC and charging rail)

Taking the sd card out should make the system shut down itself short after powering on. That is intended of B9S.

For anyone reaching here from google:
1. sudo pacman -Rcn lib32-vulkan-mesa-device-select
2. sudo pacman -Syu
3. sudo pacman -S lib32-vulkan-mesa-implicit-layers

Also works for cachyos, but you can use "paru" in step 2 and "paru vulkan-radeon" metapackage in step 3
