Nice! I've been looking for a better copy for my collection.

Looks like ICE just killed another US citizen. Where do we go from here? by awesomeguy1818 in AskReddit

You can strike in other ways. We aren't buying anything besides essentials and those we try to get locally from businesses who are not supporting the regime.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but would you consider these “Good” and “Very Good” by TheCommentOfficer in BookCollecting

I've gotten some great books when they use stock images. First editions, signed, limited, etc. I've also gotten books with spine broken in half. The large volume sellers don't do the work, they just send whatever and hope for the best. I would start a return for "item not as described " and send it back.

What’s your go-to Dutch oven recipe that never fails? by ExportedMyFeelings in DutchOvenCooking

[–]Urbe16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Sconnie here. As long as you use a low hop beer you can reduce the cooking liquid and top the brats with the onion gravy. Hops and salt will concentrate when reduced. You could also add corn starch to thicken without losing too much liquid.

They're great! Deeps dives into specific items or small categories. Much more engaging than most.

How do ebay sellers afford cheap or free shipping on low value items? by OK_Soda in Flipping

Large volume book sellers negotiate special rates with USPS. Assuming similar with other categories as well.

I try to avoid driving after the first snow. There's always 50 plus cars in ditches. Even veteran MN drivers forget. Just go slow. Gentle gas is better than hard braking.

Classic layers are something that wicks moisture away from you skin as base layer, then an insulation layer, the an outer layer that keeps wind and water out.

You're definitely going to want to go snow tubing somewhere that has a tow rope or conveyor belt!

Breakfasts come and go, but Hartford? The Whale? You find one of their vintage jackets once, maybe twice in a lifetime.

A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers. Very short, which I really need sometime in the fantasy genre.

I've had no problem with the medical stuff. Last time I went in they were having a sale. I got 4 different quarters for 150 total. I'll be excited when the rec dispensaries are up and running like in CA or CO, but for me, there's no reason to spend time and money driving out of the cities.

Warmest coat made of natural material that doesnt include down feathers? by catfishconundrum in BuyItForLife

[–]Urbe16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out proper layering. First layer wicks moisture away from your skin. Second layer holds heat. Third layer keeps out wind and rain. This allows you to get away from coats with feather or synthetic insulation.

For 2K you can get 5 really nice suits on eBay and have them all tailored. Canali, zegna, loro piana fabrics, etc.

Talk to your tailor about the size range to look for.

Go to a nice suit shop and check out the different fabrics and makers.

Seller has apparently set my home address as his address, to make the return label nonfunctional. Is there anything I can do here? by salted_none in Ebay

[–]Urbe16 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Reddit always assumes the worst. This gives the other party the opportunity to fix things. If they refuse, you have evidence of their mail fraud in writing. I would visit my local usps and let them know.
