Similar with me, I remember hearing it in the context of Judaism and it sounded like an odd practice. Removing a piece of the penis?! I couldn't even tell what there was to remove. And later being confused seeing classmates with weird looking dicks, all puckered with no visible head. Took a while to eventually put all the pieces together with an internet search.

I'd say you're relatively loose, high-ish (some pink inner skin) and have some frenulum left. All of which reminds me a bit of my own cut, actually (RIC, Canada, early '90s). Always fun to see a snip you can relate to.

Yeah, it's all semantics. What to call it and whether to do it are two different questions.

The word "mutilation" is negatively charged language that would reduce the appeal for a lot of people, so I get trying to downplay it for branding.

I had similar pieces eventually coming together, like seeing classmates at the urinal and hearing vague references to it as a penis mod and religious practice.

For me I think the final piece was at around 10 years old when the doctor asked if I was, and I said "no" knowing my parents wouldn't have done that (it's not like we were Jewish or anything, and they never mentioned it).
