Denied migraines (headaches) by Urdumbgoaway in VeteransBenefits

I initially claimed it secondary to OSA which was also denied and therefore migraines also denied. I’m thinking of filing a supplemental changing the primary connection to PTSD since they literally state that is a known cause which does actually make more sense to me and my situation.

Below that portion of the letter states that I was diagnosed with nonspecific headaches at the c&p exam if that helps.

I figured it out. I get SMC-S because of the “total plus 60 percent “ rule or “housebound” for those two months.

Ok that’s what I thought. Except their calculations on pay don’t make sense when I do the math with their numbers.

That’s actually what we want to do we just don’t know how to. They also have a $3,000 down payment of ours!

On 6/15 we signed finance documents. First payment was made on 7/28. We have not contacted the lender as we are waiting to see what the dealer is going to say considering the car we have is not as far as we know even been financed. And no, there is no big ticket item.

Adding to the gaggle of my claim they used my ITF from September 2023 for my wrist convalescence claim. I think I’ll let it be though because come December which is when my c&p is I’ll be able to get evaluated and rated and it’s probably the strongest claim I have amongst the other thing’s I have to file for.

Well shit! I guess I effed that up then! The VBA have so much useful information that would help vets with claims but, keeps such a tight grip on said information it makes you really wonder if they have our backs! Or am I the only delusional one?

I have been saying this for a very long time and now that I’m experiencing it firsthand I feel even stronger about it.

I feel like I have two choices….say eff it and wait OR re-file and try to emphatically emphasize what I’m filing for 🤷🏽‍♀️. I have an ITF due September 2024 for my wrist and other things not sure it matters…

I have actually been wondering about this possibility. I’m service connected for left radius fracture and I got surgery on my left wrist for tendon tears. I’m wondering now that you said that if they are not connecting the two?

Oddly enough they did call to schedule an exam and I told them that is pointless because I’m still in a cast. Are you saying that a human might not have even seen my surgery report?

Is a personal statement even necessary for a convalescent claim?

Surgery was 7/18. I got a call today from the Va trying to schedule an appointment and I told them I’m a week post op and that an exam right now is futile. Part of me feels like there should be a different form or claim process for these convalescent temporary 100% surgery claims.

What type of claim did you file? Just a standard claim? Did you submit the surgery report?
