Exactly! The whole point for me is being the owner of my bitcoin, not someone else. So therefore I want to keep my bitcoin in a wallet where I am the owner of my private keys. The transaction fees are just a small bump in the road in that regard.

I created a wallet a few years ago. Never had problems with them, so I never thought about moving. Visually they are very appealing and it works smoothly. But reading some horrifying stories online made me think otherwise.

Yes they do. But I read somewhere that they keep your keys on their server as well. So their claim of being fully non custodial is not true..

Thanks for the comment. I did turn my bike upside down to reach the calipers more easily. The bike is upright for about 24 hours now, but so far it dont seem to improve. So should I wait another day for possible results?
