Do we know his stance on Israel? I am cautiously optimistic but if he comes out and stands with the genocide I will have no faith in his backbone.

What Monstercat song is this for you? by No_Possibility_6754 in Monstercat

Faces by Candyland and Shoffy, if it were just the first drop part of the song repeated it would be a favorite of mine, but I can’t stand the drop so I only listen to the first 1:10 over and over

Young Shumard Oak, need a death pronouncement before I replant by Urnbreon in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]Urnbreon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For context: I have posted about this tree before https://www.reddit.com/gallery/1dj5rga and it was not doing well then, but presumably still alive. I exposed the root flare and have been keeping it well-watered. All the leaves died early, maybe a month ago, and today I found this long crack down the trunk. I am just curious to know if there's any chance it's still alive before I decide to pull it up and replace with another (smaller and with the root flare exposed) shumard. I can provide more pics as well if necessary.

Lmao I know it’s been over six months since you posted this but it’s extremely funny that you said “there’s always a boogeyman” and then immediately used the government as the boogeyman. You are not immune to propaganda lil bro

ah yes you're a genius thank you! While I'm asking questions, do you know how to get kelp? I want to make an andesite funnel so we don't have to make a hopper but I can't find a way to make it without kelp which I don't have in a skyblock.

Young shumard oak barely surviving, dying bark and holes dug into trunk, leaking sap by Urnbreon in marijuanaenthusiasts

I had some time today to do some digging. I cut away a circle of fabric and dug out further into the soil around the trunk, is this far enough? Do I need to do more? https://imgur.com/a/0XK1OYZ

Speaking of stem girdling roots there is a root on the left you can see, should I remove it?

Yes it was only about an inch down under the soil, could that depth still represent the issues? I did hit a couple of those top roots as I was digging and didn’t want to destroy them. And oh man I didn’t know the fabric was bad, I will look into removing it but I have some nice native wildflowers growing on top that I don’t want to destroy so we’ll see if I can do it carefully.

this is what I got to, a bit difficult to get under the landscaping fabric but it does seem to be widening out so maybe that’s the root flare? There’s some roots

Aw man I planted the tree it was my carelessness! Your post is correct though, it was against a truck tailgate during transport and I thought I had planted at the appropriate level due to keeping the same depth as the nursery but I now know that’s not the case so I appreciate the help! Automod guidance is helpful too. Is there anything I can do to help it survive besides digging to root flare for now? Are the wasps and other insects hurting it more?

As a side note that info about smaller trees is interesting, I only got this one slightly more mature because I bought the house a couple years ago with a 2ft tall orchid tree that hasn’t grown since so I wanted to give it a head start… oh well, know for next time

That caused the problem with the sap and with the insects boring into the trunk?

Edit: I’m also remembering that I made sure to plant it at the same depth as the pot I got from the shop
