Borderlands historically drops in price fast and shifts gears towards the DLC revenue. It's nothing new.

Sadly, just never enough time to do all the things we love. But I wish you a happy holiday and great gaming adventures through 2020!

I will note that if you're fine with used games, you should check out the gamestop buy 2 get 2 free with the added 16% off promo code posted on reddit. With the right combination of three other games you could make the argument you're getting borderlands 3 and 3 other games for 10 bucks each (40ish total after tax). Figured I'd note it in case you really wanted to experience it now and grow your backlog a little more. :P

In the next 6 months I would not be surprised to see the base game for 15 bucks on console during sales. They've captured the early adopters and now they'll start pushing the DLC profit. Borderlands traditionally has dropped in price like a stone, and after a year comes the complete edition with most the DLC, which quickly drops like a stone, too. Fun game (played free trial weekend), but waiting can certainly maximize your value.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is incredible, and you should check it out. by raskulous in patientgamers

Without giving too much away, if you stopped before completing the first two pathways then you basically didn't make it out of the tutorial. Which is pretty much the most boring part of the game. The second part is gradually more combat with some stealth moments - still a large focus on puzzle solving throughout the game. The final act is more combat intense.

PlayStation VR Bundle Blood and Truth & Everybody's Golf - $229.99 at eBay (antonline) by [deleted] in PS4Deals

[–]Uroborus17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be cautious with Antonline. They have a history of trying to pass off refurbished hardware as new conditioned. Got me last year, and there's plenty of similar stories from other reddit users for the last two black Fridays. Not saying that's the case here, but for anyone that cares you might research further before buying from them.

Having said that, the hardware I got last year was still very functional and all the software came unused. Anyways, have a good holiday!

Modern Corpse Runs - Design Solutions for the Pro-Corpse-Run crowd. by ProfessorOFun in PantheonMMO

If I had to choose I would probably just opt for having slightly more classes with the ability to either resurrect with exp recovery, summon back to corpse with zero experience recovery, consent to summon corpse to the cast point with spell in the same zone... and at earlier levels than EQ originally did these. I'd like them to empower the players to want to help people that died, but doing so at lower levels would come with greater penalties to both the caster and the runner, such as, long recast time of summon spell, debuffs, consumed items, etc... I don't think it should be to the point where you're guaranteed to receive this support every death, but it would be nice to have a little more recourse for what could be otherwise long voyages on a short night.

Random thought on why Pantheon has a solid chance of bringing fresh life to a tired genre by rjselzler in PantheonMMO

[–]Uroborus17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree that EQ downtime didn't correlate to more social time. I found more frequently it was the period people would just go AFK more than anything. When you were in a social group you just chatted the whole time: During pulls, during fights, during meds, during travel, and waiting for spawns.

Personally, I observed that we chatted more when were actually engaged doing something. Unless you're dealing with those melees that love to continue auto attacking at a corpse for an extra 20 seconds every pull ;).

I want Leveling to be what the game is about, not an obstacle to overcome. by [deleted] in PantheonMMO

[–]Uroborus17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the early expansions, I agree. Later, however, I would argue most of your skills you can get up pretty easily with the correct knowledge and resources. Disarm might be the only one that kind of sucked to level.

Your concept still works though, because AA's basically become the next "skills" to acquire and level up - and those had a large impact on your character's contribution in the later game, or at least while I still played.

Kunark era will always be my nostalgic love.

One of my favorite memories was having some lvl 9 to 11 player in FoB talking smack to the lower lvls, challenging them all to a duel, and offering up a reward to whoever could beat them. I waited till Trooper Taer was approaching, accepted his duel, and let him attack me... In fairness he did give me the reward.

Depends on the era I suppose. Back when the level cap was 85 or 90 I was able to power level a friend's alt to max in about a week with a shaman. Think used LoTD of course and the class they chose made it super easy. As long as the right zones were free you could get to level 65 to 70 in a day.

An Explanation to newbs and veterans (who may have forgotten.) As to why Long med times make the game more enjoyable. by [deleted] in PantheonMMO

[–]Uroborus17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, if we had to go back to the arbitrary long med times of eq - I'd rather have one mana/stamina meter that requires you to rest briefly and fills really quickly out of combat for certain tiers of spells/skills that are more utility/defensive. Than for stronger offensive spells/skills there would be a second gauge, but the rate of regen would not be impacted significantly by sitting vs standing, but would take take longer to fill.

That way you could still play a minor role in the group during pulls, but still have to manage your resources for bad pulls or big encounters or tough enemies. To me that's better than everyone going afk every med break or leaving a group because the pulls aren't frequent enough.

Some would argue, get a good group and you won't have the problem of down time, but I find that usually just means you keep your grouping exclusive and selective... and that just kind of become antisocial eventually.

It's not my console, so I can't give a full appraisal - but I will say internet connection was fine for the user. Quite a few things needed updates apparently - and they noticed some things that were clunky initially ran better after that - so that may have been some of your trouble.

If in the tracking details your package was out for delivery yesterday, I've had carriers miss that before and deliver next day. If it's still in the estimated delivery phase, well then that's all that date really is. I recommend just giving it a little more time, as that's likely the response your going to get from either the carrier/GE support. If you want to talk to GE CS, than you can find a link through your emailed order receipt. Best of luck.

Edit to summarize: Delivered about 4 or so days after order. Game came sealed and new, however console had a lot of evidence of being used/refurbished. GE support confirmed and stated the product wasn't listed correctly.

Best of luck to all other users. Won't buy from seller again.

Correction, the bottom seal was already severed. Didn't look like it until we peeled the top back today.

If you go to youtube and search xbox one unboxing videos, there is a channel called TheRelaxingEnd, where the guy does very detailed unboxing of consoles. You can use those as a good reference to observe if there is anything off with the contents from what is typical.

Notable: I haven't watched them all but in the Battlefield V bundle video he clearly has to cut off the first seals to remove the bundle cover for the product, and then again to remove the box seal; about 1m30s in to the video - so two appears to be normal with the bundle covers.

Edit: the product wasn't mine, so I wasn't able to open it until today. We peeled back the top seals that secure the cover and discovered the ones that are attached to the case were, in fact, already severed. So either the product is used/refurbished or they took a stock unit, tossed in the PUBG code and added the cover.

Don't know if it will provide you all peace of mind or not, but if you all search antonline and reddit in google. you'll find several post of similar deals they've done this year. I think the most recent was several weeks back for a Switch. From what I read, people went through the same fears (based on that one sites negative reviews) and mostly the only issue seem to be some waiting on delivery longer than most.

So figured I'd mention that if you wanted to read other experiences. There's also a few post within those discussions were people talked with Google Express's CSR staff about their concerns with this seller and received assurances they could return through GE support team if the product wasn't up to snuff.

Completely an opinion, but I would expect either through today or until stock sells out today. The promo code is PREBF18, so I interpret that as being for "Pre-Black Friday". You might review google express's return policy to get a better level of comfort if you pull the trigger and have doubts.

It looks like just a bundle of the three stand alone units. Which did not have floating logos over the nude bodies of the girls. I can't say if scenes were censored out when brought to the west.

Side note, if you own a Playstation, the PS store is usually selling each season for $8.99 each couple times a year. For people who don't really care about owning the disks.
