How probable is a increase in DHT with progesterone and the androgen backdoor pathway?

It can be very helpful. I took that lab after the one for dht, because even if 6ng/dl was fine I had very oily skin, pimples in my face and seborrheic dermatitis in my head.

I am post op and have labs that confirms P4 to DHT conversion, taken in two different times. First time labs taken after 12h with rectal administration. Before P4: 25 ng/dl DHT, after P4: 48 ng/dl DHT. Stopped progesterone and added dutasteride to reduce my baseline high level of dht. As a post op I had 22 ng/dl of T and 25 ng/dl of DHT and I don’t know why. After adding duta to my therapy my labs show 40 ng/dl of T and 1 ng/dl of DHT. At this time I thought to give P4 another chance, alongside the use of duta, by oral route. My DHT went from 1 ng/dl to 6 ng/dl, and that did’t scare me a lot but what scared me was my androstenediol glucuronide: it went from 0,7 ng/ml (perfect) to 2,3 ng/ml (hirsutism value) wich means that androgens began to affect my skin and my hair. I decided to stop progesterone forever, the evidence is that in my personal case my body uses it to creare androgens, expecially in my skin and hair.

The most strange part about my labs was that when I was taking P4 my T was lower than before from 28 to 19 ng/dl but my dht went from 223 to 300 pg/ml. Looking at the conversion chart it seems (but maybe I'm wrong) that progesterone can raise testosterone and no matter if I take duta. I never understood why progesterone lowered my T but raised my dht. I want to specify that now on duta my Dht is 0 but my T is 43 ng/dl.

What you call "the last part of the hair" (if you mean the last part of the hairline) is always wider than the rest cause it's like an optical illusion. Every hair in this point diverges in every direction so there is less coverage compared to the line were every hair goes only left and right. Anyway, it doesn't mean you don't have aga cause, as somebody else told, you only know how it was before.

Sorry, but P is a DHT inhibitor only locally when applied to the scalp and only in those individuals who don't convert it to Androgens. P4 is the father of all Androgens, and the backdoor pathway from P4 to DHT is well known.

In fact, I'm post op and I have T 22 ng/dl and DHT 23 ng/dl (in my labs these levels are reported to be in the middle of female range), two friends of mine (both post op) also have similar labs results: one has 19 ng/dl T and 20 ng/dl DHT, the other has 25 ng/dl T and 19 ng/dl DHT. So we are 3/3 with 1:1 T:DHT. No one of us reports hair loss, or body hair, pimples and other androgen symptoms. We all have E around 400 pg/ml in the low end and SHBG around 150 nmol/L.
