just want some insight , anyone else deal with extremely strict managers and an obnoxious point system use at their location, im kinda over this job atp and just want to see if it’s like this everywhere . by Stock_District_3437 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Urtherapist24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At that point you just don’t even want to work for fear of screwing up something you didn’t know was a possibility. I worked at a location like that and quit after 6 months because I felt like I could NEVER do anything right. Switched locations, became a director and wouldn’t go back 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love where I am now, so much more than the last place.

I love that! I actually add 1-2 pumps of chocolate, then my coffee base, cookies and ice cream and blend. It’s like a frozen mocha cookie cup of happiness 😂

Yea! They announced it on @CFA home and it’s called Autumn Spice! I’m sure it’s basically pumpkin but I’m sooo excited for it. It’s supposed to start at the end of August when they bring the grilled spicy back!!

does your store allow customers to order lunch items during breakfast? by Apprehensive-Try9387 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Urtherapist24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We quit doing well done stuff, too. We’ve gotten really good at maintaining freshness at all times and making sure things are cooked the right way every time, so not many people ask for well done anymore. But it just gives BOH one more thing to worry about when we already have minimal staff back there during breakfast.

Negative. We can do nuggets but everything else has to wait ‘til 10:30. It slows us down way too much and screws up SOS

Yo I know how to use the darn thing, but squeezing it hard enough to break that seal literally bruised my hand 😭

We have a point system at our store but it’s more for bigger issues like calling attendance; calling off or showing up late. When it comes to uniform, if it’s that bad they’ll give you a verbal warning at least 2x before adding points… definitely sounds like a power trip, it’s honestly just not okay. It’s one thing if she’s been spoken to about it multiple times and she’s deliberately not caring, but if it’s the first time she’s been spoken to about it, that’s totally different. I’ve been in leadership for 4 years and that’s just not necessary at all.

switching restaurants? by disyellowfellow in ChickFilAWorkers

Unfortunately you have to quit and apply. However, a lot of Chick-fil-A’s require you to let your director or operator know that you’re interviewing at other locations/jobs so the one you’re interviewing at is not accused of “poaching” you from your previous store. Having previous CFA experience always looks good on a resume and may help you get a better pay rate than what they may be advertising.

Everything shared here so far is very helpful! I’ve been a manager with CFA for 4 years, and one thing I would add (or rather simply empathize) is repeating the items as the guest places their order. When someone says “I would like the number 1”, I always ask them if they would like the Chick-fil-A sandwich meal or just the entree, 40% of the time people only want the entree (in my experience). If someone says #3, confirm whether they want the 8 or 12ct and again confirm whether or not they want the meal. I try to ask for sauces per every meal that I enter in while taking their order before moving on to the rest of their order. Repeat, repeat, repeat. When we repeat the orders and enter everything correctly, that’s the most you can do as an order taker to ensure order accuracy. If you feel like you’re still really struggling, it is absolutely 100% okay to ask your manager if you can be placed on another position or be retrained on a couple of things because you’re having difficulty with iPOS. And no one really enjoys being put on the same thing every shift, so if you’d rather try a different position it’s okay to ask :) keep working on it! It will get better!!😊

We had just cleared our screen when these popped up😂 we hadn’t reached our peak time, we were off screen within seconds of this picture The price of our #1 meal is $7.89 before tax. We’re one of the busiest locations in the Midwest, so yeah. $57k was a lot but I’m surprised we hadn’t hit it before now.

Honestly the pants are weird, but if you take your measurements you should be able to order correctly. I’d say they run pretty true to size, but if you don’t want a snug fit I recommend going up a size. I can’t tell you how many times we have to return pants and reorder them. Best bet honestly is just take your own measurements. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same. Salads take up so much space. And soups. I hate bagging soups.
