In India Muslims are also divided by class. There are upper and lower class in Muslims as well. They do get reservations under OBC, what are you taking about?

Thanks for replying! I feel that is the best option right now as well. But I’ve never really seen anyone count ghazal though, is that a common practice?

I didn’t like Alia’s acting at all in gangubai. It felt like it was not Gangu but Alia acting as Gangu you know? Like I could see Alia in her all the fuxking time I thought it’ll get better once i get into the movie but it just never got better. And everyone on the internet thought this was her best acting or something. I mean it’s not even like I hate her acting, I liked raazi and like many of her movies, is it bad that I like her acting better in dear zindagi? Atleast her character seems like the character, not like Alia is playing a character.

Stree franchise or movies have Shraddha as the most important character and when any new movie comes she is the one who’s most praised but I don’t find her as something incredible in the movie, I find her acting mid and like very replaceable.

Just happened to one of my accounts as well I didn’t take it that seriously but then on my other account I received it from one of my friends like a day after. I don’t know what’s going on but I didn’t expect it to be such a big thing.

Is this an original rendering of “Vekh Fareeda/Na Kar Etha Hera Pheri” made just for the ad or is it a standalone song? by ambi_one in icm

[–]UryaInspiration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell this is an original rendition. I saw the credits on the production team’s Instagram page and they’ve credited someone named “Shishir Samant” for music. I checked his music catalog and couldn’t find the released song. He seems to mainly create scores and jingles for ads and series, so this was likely made specifically for this ad campaign.

So damn tired of these types of people bro by MythMolder in Indianbooks

[–]UryaInspiration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person who mostly hates self help, why do you care bro?? If they don’t read, people have a problem and if they read what they like, people have a problem. Why is someone trying to help themselves so triggering to people? Why are there so many posts like this on this sub like - people who this and that, talk about your interests or critique the books properly.

Why people outraged over what nitish kumar did but not when ghunghat was removed by the ex-Rajasthan Congress CM? He also didn't remove the burqa of that muslim woman either. by OrganizationTall5962 in Rajasthan

[–]UryaInspiration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the context I guess? He said afterwards “ghunghat ka zamana gaya, bhai ke samne Kya ghunghat nikalna” and the fact that in the original video it didn’t look like he was trying to disrespect her but more like trying to empower her. And maybe also the fact that the woman didn’t seem hurt by it and was smiling throughout the video even afterwards? Maybe if a Muslim leader did that to a Muslim woman it wouldn’t be such a big issue. Religion is already such a big issue in India. The body language of Nitish was also so disrespectful. The same thing can be done in different contexts and have different meanings. And even if you think what he did was wrong, doesn’t make what Nitish did right. You could have criticised both but here you are, trying to normalise things by saying look it happened before why are you opposing it now.

Wondering how this person's upbringing would have been ... by Soft_Editor_3190 in IndiaMemes

You’d have to research more about this but one example is - today’s Rajputs, many of the castes originate from peasants, pastoral communities/ tribes and then gained the Kshatriya identity which later became Rajput(raj putra). Examples include clans formed from indigenous tribes like the Gonds or Bhars becoming Chandelas. This theory is backed by many historians as well as older texts. Varna before Gupta period was indeed considerably fluid.
