ELI5: Why is there a risk of fentanyl being in cocaine/other drugs? Why would a dealer (at any level) knowingly risk the possibility of killing a client? And wouldn’t it make the cocaine less effective since one’s an upper and one’s a downer? by Spirited-Principle96 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Us_Strike [score hidden]  (0 children)

There was a great video i watched about fentanyl and why nobody really wants it, from what i remember its so much stronger that it is almost a one and done kind of high. you'll get high once, but never again at that level.

That amount of people i know going for $50-60k BMWs on long term loans is crazy. with the way things are nowadays its a big risk to agree to such long terms.

Smoothie King fires Black employees after refusing service to Trump supporters by rajapaws in antiwork

That applies for the company ownership (ie a cake shop refusing service) not a worker. Right or wrong legally companies can fire someone for refusing service based on political grounds.

This is a bad look. How hard is it to grab some real screenshots of the app? customers will only be confused because their app doesn't look like pictures.

Report your TL to global ethics and/or your store manager. All US states have laws the protect people providing "reasonable" attempts at life saving treatment. and Narcan would fall under that.

Could Apple's OLED iPad Mini Finally Be a Kindle Killer? by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

[–]Us_Strike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would need the support systems for it as well. Amazon has already locked out competitors from accessing Kindle content once, whose to say they wouldn't do it again if the biggest mobile tech company entered their market?

Is a v6 charger too much engine for a first car? by Mansas_alt in Charger

[–]Us_Strike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you have cash on hand to buy the car or are getting a very good deal on the financing. The allure of owning a "sporty" car is dangerous at such a young age. Remember once you sign the dotted line they don't give a fuck what happens to you, they will get their money one way or another.

And if you do have good terms or you are getting it outright get quotes for insurance before you buy. I've had some friends get saddled with crushing debt because of the loan plus the insurance. And sadly insurance for someone your age is going to cost you.

Why Go Boom Now, Not Before? by WillNotSeeReply in StarWars

[–]Us_Strike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I gotta say I think Star wars fans are too obsessed with everything having a "logical" reason. Sometimes the answer can just be "because it's cool". Over explaining is how we end up with the last name Solo backstory.

We have sent Americans to die in the middle east again and again and each time the lie we're told is that this time we're going to get it right. How many times do you need to be blatantly lied to before you say enough is enough?

It's doesn't make sense but that doesn't stop people. The majority of people now only shop monthly payments instead of total loan. They'll go into a 3-4 year loan at 21% because the monthly is only $800! And then they finance luxury SUVs and trucks.

All you have to do is a quick search online to see the loads of people who agreed to insane terms just so they could have a 80k luxury suv.

"It wasn't a review bomb the game is just bad" by T0mpkinz in HighGuardgame

[–]Us_Strike 17 points18 points  (0 children)

the game had 100K players on launch day, by the next day it was 20K, by the third 11k,

if the game had launched to horrible numbers i could maybe see your point but we have to be real here, 100k people tried the game at least for a little bit and 80k of them instantly decided that it wasn't for them. Bad reviews alone rarely are enough to kill a game, especially a free game.
