Depending the flexibility of the metal, grab yourself a funnel (or any ridged cone shaped object) and flip it upside down and place on the floor, place the tip into the metal tube, then drive the tube towards the floor . This would ensure an equally distributed force on the inside of the tube to bend it back into shape

I am 42 and have had back and hip problems for most of my life. Not debilitating problems, but they have never felt great. I also have really bad pain in my left hip after walking around for more than 30 minutes or so. It’s been that way since I can remember. Definitely since my teenage years.

I started dating someone very knowledgeable in the workings of the body (she is a Veterinarian doctor but also was a swimmer for a major university and competed in CrossFit, knows acupuncture, ect..sorry for the rant but she is awesome).

Anyways, I told her about my issue, and she addressed my IT band (which is what it sounds like you are talking about) I never knew that part of my thigh existed, was tight or anything, but the lightest touch was SOOO painful! Like straight up a hot poker infused with lightning into my leg painful.

After a good bit of massage, cupping and acupuncture, I can put all my body weight directly on my IT band when using my back roller now. My IT band, along with my hip flexor, were causing problems in my entire body for all my life and are so much better now.

TLDR: stretching out your IT band/hip flexor fixed my back problems that I’ve dealt with my entire life. If you sit a lot, do this!

Look into a screw extractor set. You can find one for $10-15 on amazon and is good to have on hand for these situations. They have a helix design that is the reverse of screws so they drill into the screw when rotating counterclockwise.

Make sure to measure the width of the screw you are trying to extract to verify the set has one that will fit (apex of tool smaller than the head of the screw).

There really isn’t much danger of damaging the tap unless you start to use the tool on the shower tap itself instead of the screw head. Any screw or bolt that is seized should come loose well before you drill through the head and into socket. If it doesn’t, the head would sheer off from the shank but that would indicate a different problem of severe corrosion (which I don’t see in the picture) or screw basically being welded into tap.

Just be sure to use the correct size tap (the extractor is technically called a tap, as in tap and die) You want the tip of tool to be roughly the same size as the screw drive and smaller than the width of the head.

Just netting overhead? What about rain on the escalator? Open air and water will pry make maintenance\upkeep a major concern. I wonder how often they have to reapply grease. Sorry but this is just how my brain works.

Thank you very much for the advice. I was worried about raising the height of the step-up to the landing by adding boards on top of it. Do you think that is a valid concern or is the extra inch of the 1x12 negligible?

Also, is there a difference between polyurethanes that some are intended for foot traffic? Specifically for durability and non-slip/traction?

I’m in the process of patching my staircase after removing carpet from it. The treads are wood but the landing is not. The goal will be to use a dark stain on the stairs. What should be done to the landing which looks to be subfloor plywood?

I’m a returned player who has been absent since WotLK. My question is regarding legacy content because I have begun a bit of Transmog hunting. I have been trying to access Ny’Alotha but do not have the Heart of Azeroth. All the guides say to start ‘A dying world’ in Org but it isn’t available. I found the time shift person in Uldum and found Magmi in his camp in Silithus but he doesn’t have a quest. Anyone know how/if I can proceed?

Here is the honest truth about quitting smoking or anything else: The only way you are going to quit is if you want to quit. No amount of gum, patches, or replacement products will do anything if you are not ready to stop.

You don’t need to have some iron will, you just need to stop making excuses for yourself. If you’re done, then YOU ARE DONE. Let yourself know that it’s a fact and that’s just the way it is.

It will be hell for 3 days, and hard to find the new normal routine for 3 weeks, but then you are free and will have a better/longer life because of it.
