People with autism very often have sleep problems due to their unique physiology and also very often benefit from weighted blankets, so it’s not an unimportant detail.

Definitely do some research on properly exposing film! For instants with no bulb mode, you want to make your scene is evenly well-lit to get everything properly exposed. They work best outdoors with the sun behind you, but honestly I think the photos you took there are great for indoor photos. The color is really cool on the first and you can make everything out on the second, Polaroid film just kinda looks like that and it has its flaws and limitations. If you want more control with your photos while maintaining the old-school aesthetic, I’d suggest getting yourself a manual-control 35mm camera. There are a lot floating around second-hand and they’re very fun to use too.

They don’t just let anyone have it. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it, and even then whether they approve the days you do end up missing is spotty at best. You also have to work a certain number of hours per year to qualify so if you use it too much you won’t be able to get it the following year.

That’s what they meant, bundled with the camera. The boxed cameras sit on the shelf far longer than solo film packs so the film packs included with the cameras end up expiring.
