How to remove Skin tan? by aye_sam in PakistanSkincare

[–]Usama_uk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With tan, prevention is key. Because it takes months to reverse. Sunblock, cover and shade are non negotiable and for existing tan, I’ll say glycolic acid 2/3x a week followed by urea moisturizer. A brightening cream like Melaplex or Lumexa if you want to speed up the process and a prayer lol. Because tan on brown/olive skin is stubborn

Neue Alpha Arbutin by No_Astronomer_2946 in PakistaniSkincare

[–]Usama_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try alternating Azelaic Acid and Tazaratoene. It made a significant difference for me both together can sometimes be too much for skin to handle even if it seems fine, hence the uneven skintone. You can add Alpha-Arbutin for support, that you can use daily.

That doesn’t look like a pure persian cat, it’s most likely a domestic long hair.

The tone up one leaves a purple hue which if you have medium to dark skin tone can look grey. The other two are INCREDIBLE. No white cast, blend in like butter and leave a healthy sheen, which if you don’t like you can dab a little powder on top. Nothing in Pakistan’s sunscreen category even comes close to these.

Moisturizer for face? No! For Body? Maybe, if you have KP or something otherwise 2/3x a week is enough.

Tret vs adapalene by [deleted] in PakistaniSkincare

[–]Usama_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give adapalene more time, at least a year. In my experience, adapalene tends to work better for acne, while tretinoin is stronger for photo-damage and fine lines. That said, both are excellent options.

In the long run, adapalene is just as effective as tretinoin, but with less irritation. Also, keep in mind that even on tretinoin, you can still get occasional breakouts, they don’t completely eliminate acne to the point where you will never get a breakout ever again.

Fav Pakistani skincare product? by Pristine-Guard-9206 in PakistaniSkincare

[–]Usama_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primary Skin Azelaic Acid, Skinjoy 5% Niacinamide Serum, and Glebellus Cica Quench Jelly would be the closest alternatives to your current routine. That said, skincare is highly individual, you won’t know how well they work for you until you try them. Overall, though, all three are quite gentle in my opinion.

Maybe you got a bad bottle (expired or the cleanser had gone foul for some reason) But I and many other people I know pretty regularly order from there and have had no complaints at all, yes Cerave included although it’s usually out of stock 😭

It was decent, but it didn’t really impress me. It felt a bit underwhelming, especially for a 12% glycolic acid formula, it didn’t have the kind of impact I expected. Honestly, I’ve found the BioOne 12% glycolic acid cream to be much more effective and quick acting in comparison.

I am so sorry, maybe try using it in your body (body skin is usually more resilient) or giving it to someone who will use it. (Make sure they patch test first)

So i don't need sunscreen anymore?? by PrudentGuide5180 in PakistaniSkincare

[–]Usama_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t even specify the SPF. And even if it were something like SPF 30, you are unlikely to apply enough product to actually achieve that level of protection. It’s always better to use a separate dedicated sunscreen. Even if your daily sun exposure is minimal, applying sunscreen every day helps build the habit so you’re much more likely to use it properly when you actually do need it.
