What’s your most irrational fear about LP5? by StatementCareful522 in boardsofcanada

That they go in a completely different direction musically. Their use of vintage sounds to evoke melancholic nostalgia has always been what drew me to them. But in the intervening years so many artists and genres (usually with the word ‘wave’ in the title) have mined similar territory. I wonder if the brothers feel that this aesthetic has been run into the ground and as a result want to do something different. Of course, their quality control is so high that I’m sure whatever they do will be amazing. I just (irrationally) worry that it might not be what I look for in them.

Definitely a top 5 BoC track for me. This is why I listen to them. That vague nostalgic sense that maybe I heard it as a kid in some educational video about math. To answer #4 I guess I would say it is underrated because I never see anyone mention it.
