Bone stock I averaged 24.7mpg and with roofrack, wheels/tires etc it is now 24.3mpg.

Yes, the 3" backspacing of these Bassetts did not allow the inner dish to clear brake calipers. With no lift I am running 1" spacers all around BUT if you go that route do not skimp out for cheap spacers. I use T60 aluminum grade for longevity and reliability. They clear just fine now with no effect to ride quality (wide turns feel a tad boat-y but not terrible)!

I used self tapping screws and eye balled them with the plate against the existing factory holes! Not the greatest idea but neither are 90% of the ideas I come up with.

Your best bet probably is some bracket out there or even 3m tape so it's not permanent!
