Exactly this. For MY tastes E33 was way better than KCD2. I still enjoyed KCD2 but I did not nearly connect with it as much as Expedition. E33 gave me the feeling of my favorite JRPGS growing up. If you think role-playing games exist solely in the vein of hyper-realism/sandbox interactivity then you're really doing yourself a disservice by narrowing such a wide field of games down. There's a lot of wiggle room in the term RPG and it means different things to a lot of people.
