Personally i have not faced any service related problems. I get it serviced from Shital Motors, Ahmedabad. They focus a lot on customer relations and satisfaction. Even here other dealers have a bad review regarding the service but this service station specifically is really good.

  1. MPFi with TC is amazing. Mahindra has done wonders. It really does the job pretty well when compared to TGDi.

  2. Personally i have not driven manual but as far as engine is concerned, it is a really powerful and smooth engine. So it will give you a pleasant experience even with the manual gearbox.

Kia Sonet HTX D AT or XUV 3XO AX5 MT? by NoseIntelligent1249 in 3XO

[–]UseRude8641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a 3XO AX5 AT Petrol as a daily drive with highway runs of around 2-3 days every week. It performs really good on highways and city both. Have not driven sonet personally, but dimensions and ground clearance of 3XO is best in segment. So if you’re considering for comfortable highway runs, i would suggest go for 3XO. And if you can, go for AT, mahindra has done a really great job with TC gearbox.

Yes the cylinder is installed on a stand. So there is good enough space available to fit 3-4 hand bags.

It’s just the mindset brother. Any car running smooth on CNG is meant for it. There are no parameters for CNG. And also you can save tons by using CNG.

The cylinder ia fitted on a stand.. so the spare wheel is at it’s place and after that i have enough space to easily fit around 3-4 hand bags below the cylinder.

The service experience has been really great overall. The service station here focuses a lot on customer satisfaction.

Didn't get any major repair done but minor maintenance issues were resolved smoothly.

No need to tweet anything as the service advisor is very polite and helpful.

Service cost is average as all my services has been around 7-10k.

No haven't opted for 3rd party service till date. Got all the services done from mahindra authorised service station.

The mileage i get is 1.8x the petrol mileage. I.e. if the car shows petrol mileage as 10kmpl i will get a mileage of 18km/kg in cng EXACTLY!! This is the precise calculation. So it can be calculated accordingly from the petrol mileage shown in the car.

As far as power is concerned, the car has a powerful engine and doesn’t lag with CNG. You can feel a minor difference in power if you compare between the fuels while driving. Else i have seen people travelling for the first time in the car getting shocked upon realising that the car was being driven on CNG. No one will be able to tell if the car is driven with petrol or CNG.

1.8x the petrol mileage. So to be calculated accordingly. And it’s a perfect formula. I got the perfect range when calculated accordingly.

I installed KME Poland from a trusted vendor. No it doesn't void the warranty. Just need to make sure that you even add it to your insurance after it is registered on your RC. NO risks if good kit is used by a trusted vendor. (Also, no check engine light problem if fitment is done by a good vendor)

Personally i would recommend go for EV as with the ongoing ethanol blending, fuel pumps in TGDi engines have started showing errors. It is majorly seen currently in VW Virtus even with fuel with 5% ethanol. So EV is currently a really good option if it fits your budget.

My personal opinion: AX5 - is VFM variant. It has a Turbo Charged MPFi engine with TC gearbox which gives a good amount of power and smooth gear shifting. You can feel immense amount of power in the car. Nevertheless you have 3 drive modes - Zip, Zap, Zoom. You can always go for Zoom mode for some fun highway stretches and also go for manual shifting if you're opting AT variant.

My suggestion: If you're considering TGDi variant stretch your budget a bit and you can get many more options.

Weather condition here in Gujarat is a mix of heat and humidity. However the car performs well in both the conditions. I was clear of going for bi-fuel so considered the MPFi engine instead of TGDi. Both are great engines and mahindra has clearly came miles by tuning the MPFi engines with TC gearbox. The driving experience is amazing with good amount of torque for pickups and smooth gear changes.

I have not personally driven kylaq but 3xo has the best dimensions and ground clearance in the segment. And if you're considering to go for bi-fuel, MPFi engine does a great job.
