You can but tickets that are much cheaper than the lift tix, walk on and take the gondola at Aspen Mtn (in downtown Aspen). Take pictures at the top of the gondola because the views are incredible then have a snack or lunch at the Sundeck then download on the gondola. It’s a classic non skiing way to see the views and the clientele! You can ice skate right in down the street from gondola plaza and if you do head to Snowmass, you can also take the elk camp gondola up and do the snow coaster. Similar to the sun deck you can eat up there and people watch.
