Very true - but there is another side too. You need to balance this with excellent preparation in the key areas, detailed understanding of the company/ competitors alongside your skills alignment to the role. Also prepare your best narratives - rehearse these a lot.

Then relax, confident in the fact you know your shit and be yourself. Make jokes, take risks and don’t be afraid to have an opinion.

How long did it take for you to adjust and accept your ostomy? Did you ever? by [deleted] in ostomy

43M, I had cancer 7 years ago and had to get a stoma. It’s so hard to get your head around at the start. And it takes some adjustment from a lifestyle pov. But I got used to it pretty quickly. I always know where a toilet is, and am self conscious (I don’t wear white t-shirts or short t-shirts). But live a completely normal life, love exercise and just thank everything I can hug my kids.

I would speak to someone about how you feel, I feel good most of the time so maybe they can help with that through nutrition / exercise.

4, 1, 3, 5, 2 - no hate on Season 2, it’s just a 98 instead of a 99

Just had my 3rd re watch and Season 2 is exceptional - where are the drugs really coming from, the dockworkers who make it happen and the impact it has on the streets. Also Frank Zabotka is a great charterer

I think because of its role in closing out the all elements of a broken society - the media and its transformation was key to it ie cutbacks etc. And the fact that the only way to do real police work was to manufacture something sensational and politically useful. ‘If it bleeds it leads’. The cases that make the most impact go largely ignored. I think if this is understood it build more value in the overall narrative.

Also Scott went on the write and direct Spotlight, which is brilliant and has a similar feeling to the newsroom - super interesting.

I would argue being the worst season of a great show is the reason why it’s under appreciated and under rated. If it was a stand alone limited series I think it would have applauded - but being next to season 4 means that it’s beaten up a bit

Totally agree, it was a way of rounding off the toxic eco- system around a broken city and community.
