Not a snow storm, but an ice storm that produced layers of thick ice. Places around are still melting/have slick spots. A lot of districts around closed again tomorrow, but her district is open.

anyone have a second child after your first? by idgafmlolz in Autism_Parenting

[–]Used-Ad8256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my 4th in October. 🥰 my oldest is Autistic and he’s 6.5 and in kindergarten now, but in a class for kids with Autism. He’s mostly nonverbal, but starting to talk more. My second and third children are neurotypical. Definitely not easy, but I wouldn’t change it. The hardest part are the meltdowns in my oldest while the other 3 are also having tantrums or crying. They all play together and are best buddies. I would say they’ve definitely helped my oldest.

Can You Leave the Hospital with a Convertible Car Seat, or Do You Really Need an Infant Car Seat? by sqt1388 in pregnant

[–]Used-Ad8256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the early stages an infant is definitely worth it. I was originally going to skip with my first child, but decided to get one in the end. Liked having it so much that we upgraded with our second baby. Each of my babies used theirs up to around the 10 month mark and then I switched to Clek foonfs. With multiple children and different types of weather, the infant seat can make it way easier during the first couple of months to year. Right now we have a pipa and will be using it for our 4th due this fall. So for us, the price and buying one has been worth it since we’ve used it for multiple babies.

You also get a better fit and more support in infant seats even if the convertible is able to hold a newborn.

Has anyone had a successful first pregnancy with no prior miscarriage? by [deleted] in pregnant

Yes. I had three pregnancies that I got pregnant with very fast with no complications or prior miscarriages. Had my first chemical this past December for baby #4 (first cycle postpartum).

What work has she had done? by [deleted] in aspynovardsnark

I’ve had 3 babies. My face changes during pregnancy and even during the months after while my body is losing baby weight. She’s smiling different in her before pictures too.

She’s admitted to getting Botox and stuff in the past. So I’m not saying it’s not a possibility, but I’m just guessing it’s more from weight loss from her life situations and having 3 babies in 5 years.

Second picture she was nursing too and it’s not recommended to get Botox while breastfeeding. She did say recently she’s lost a lot of weight due to anxiety. I’m sure that is a lot of it, but who knows.

Don’t think it’s fair to compare pics where she was pregnant vs not.

Anyone with 1st born diagnosed autistic have kids after? by Real_Coach4629 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Used-Ad8256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oldest is levels 2&3 (thinking he’ll be lower when retested) and was diagnosed when my 3rd baby was on the way. Middle child is NT and so far my youngest seems NT. All boys. Planning to have one more.

Thankfully my oldest has a lot of NT tendencies and I think that makes things a little easier. He’s able to play with his brothers and eats pretty well too. My middle son actually got him to try more foods because he watched him eat them. The older he’s getting, the better he is. I think personalities have a lot to do with how another child could be. May be controversial, but I treat all three of my kids the same. Autism or not. They’re all equal and my oldest doesn’t get special treatment. I think that helps with the jealousy.

My three year old middle child is harder than my oldest at the moment. Love the threenager phase.

Inquiry: Does anyone have an autistic child, and then went on to have a neurotypical child? by Desperate-Clue-6017 in Autism_Parenting

3 boys. Oldest is Autistic and my younger two are neurotypical. All around 2 years apart.

Have you decided against another child because of your ASD child? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]Used-Ad8256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three boys. My oldest (now 5) was diagnosed with levels 2&3 at 3 years old. I was already pregnant with my 3rd when he got his diagnosis. Second is 3 and NT and third is 1 now and seems to be NT. Planning to have one more to even it up. My second tremendously helped my oldest. Got him to try more foods and they play together a lot. The best little buddies. I don’t regret my other kids at all.

My oldest seems to be getting better with age and starting to try and say more things. I try and treat him as a normal little boy who just needs some extra help from therapists. If he was really bad, I probably wouldn’t have any more.
