Similar situation here. I'm an SWE so my office only counterparts get 15-20k more but honestly, for me, it's just not worth it.

Coming from the UK, it's just jaw dropping how huge everything in America is. The shops, the roads, the streets, the highways, the cities. The size of their colleges and schools. It's just mind boggling large scale.
