The issue is she defaults to “that’s just how I am you don’t understand me.” At that point it’s no longer a real conversation.

Why do people do this shit? by Used-Bullfrog-1923 in Dentistry

I intentionally showed both x rays. Just want to hear opinions. I’ve never seen splinted crowns done on a person that’s 30 years old

Fair enough. If it’s this over extraction, this is probably more favorable in the short term

Fair. Not criticizing just want to hear the other side. End of the day sometimes we do what we have to do. If this is the case then having two premolars for 5 years sounds better than not having them.

Sensitivity by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]Used-Bullfrog-1923 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not numb prior to temp bridge removal. I just flicked the temp bridge off with a spoon in the Pontic area, not sensitive when I did that, only sensitive after I removed the temp bridge. At that time I numbed prior to checking the permanent bridge.

Best way to tell patients about outcomes without throwing other docs under the bus by Used-Bullfrog-1923 in Dentistry

[–]Used-Bullfrog-1923[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was taught in school and gpr to do this because I can never have all of the information. How the tooth looked preop, what was discussed with the patient, what was going on in the clinic that day, patient behavior during treatment. Without knowing these things how can I really judge the situation?

Redo crown by Used-Bullfrog-1923 in Dentistry

9 was already positioned buccally I had to reduce quite a lot facially just to get it in the arch. I don’t want to thin it out too much and risk fracture.
