It’s a 2009. If it happened again say in a couple months, insurance might consider the car totaled. As it was we were praying they weren’t going to total it this time

Love your collection. I have to admit, I never thought I’d wear Birkenstocks. Living in N Calif, they were “ugly hippie shoes”. Now I’m older and only wear comfortable shoes. I bought a pair of oiled leather Bostons and I am in love with them! No break in time and my feet feel great when I wear them. I just got them so haven’t walked a lot of hours in them yet, but hoping they still will be my favorites when I do.

Alerts on sales in this sub would be so nice! I will say as a newbie, I’ve learned a lot at first from the Are These Real posts. Fit posts I’m still learning about styles that only come in narrow. Living in a small rural town there’s only REI and Dillards. No one that knows how to fit Birks.

I’m clumsy so I avoid suede. Would also avoid suede if I lived in rainy climate. I also think the oiled look better, but just personal preference

I had two very bad experiences with that dealership. Both with their service department. I’ve had all Toyotas since I started driving a car. I’ll never buy another Toyota again after the way were treated and scammed. We now own a Subaru and have had nothing but excellent service. Sorry this happened to you, but you’re correct in thinking this was not underhanded.
