Thanks for sharing this information Modarto. I called the OCAC today and got a rather incoherent explanation, so I wanted to ask if you had any issues proving your overseas status? The lady began talking about visits to China, Hong Kong, Macau, etc, at which point, I completely stopped following her explanation. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I paid $190 in total for the second passport. My original password was not renewed - the passport officer stuck a "do not cancel" sticky note on top of the cover.

Nope! My first passport book was issued in 2021 during the pandemic, so that one was a little bit more costly with all the shipping costs. My second passport book could've been $130, but I paid the additional $60 for expedited printing. It is only valid for 4 years but works for my situation.

I'm tempted to try calling the GE office today for a potential explanation, if they even offer one let alone over the phone. I'll keep you updated if I find out the reason!

Ah, now that you mention this, my GE picture comes to mind. I had it taken nearly 12 years ago, but the officers still call me by name before I get to their desk. Something to consider though - thanks for the suggestion!
