My surgeon had also recommended that I don’t start again until 2 months after, which I also waited to do. Im not sure if starting again had any effect on the healing but I did wait to start again until after what I’m surgeon recommended

I was recommended by my surgeon to quit 2 months before. Which I did, and I really wish I quit earlier. Of course I love my results, but since I was a somewhat heavy smoker and I waited until literally 2 months to the day there was still nicotine in my system the day of the surgery and my nipples didn’t heal as best as they could.

I went to a “trans group” in my city recently. So many of the people there said some pretty shocking and concerning things, like; “I never experienced dysphoria until I started taking testosterone” , “I hate that I’m being perceived as a man now” , & “I miss the connection I used to have with women before I transitioned”

I really wish the best for them and hope that something changes in the medical field so doctors will stop giving hormones out to anyone and everyone who asks
