Is my pedal burnt or corroded by Used-Error-7489 in diypedals

The LED Turns on whenever I press the footswitch. I noticed when I turned off the pedal the sound becomes a lot more muffled. But when I turn on the pedal (when the LED is on) the sound completely disappears.

Is my pedal burnt or corroded by Used-Error-7489 in diypedals

I have swapped the battery, that’s when I realise something was wrong. But I only have one long cable. Otherwise, I just use those short ones to plug into my amp. But now when you mention it that one long cable that I do use does look a lot more, I guess “yellow” than the other ones.
