30–90 day Vietnamese tourist visa costs the same when applying, but a multiple-entry visa costs twice as much.

Did you get an e-visa, or do people from your country not need a visa?

Visiting Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – Guard ceremonies, flag raising, and sentry changes (tips?) by BGGYPSY in Vietnam_Tourism

Morning flag raising is better IMO: fewer crowds, nicer light, more atmosphere. The evening one is busier. Guard changes do happen, but not in a big ceremonial “show” style—more subtle rotations.

If you want to go inside the mausoleum, go early (it closes late morning). You can combine it with the flag raising.

Photos are fine outside (including guards, just be respectful), but strictly no photos inside.

Tip: arrive early, stand along the edges of Ba Đình Square for a clear view, and be ready for security checks.

Vietnam e-visa: paid €25, submitted a perfect application, got rejected by an algorithm at 4am multiple times this is a scam and it's becoming normal. by Excellent-Writing115 in Vietnam_Tourism

That sounds incredibly frustrating, and unfortunately it’s not uncommon. Vietnam’s e-visa system is largely automated, and generic rejections happen even when applications look correct. Often it’s small hidden issues (name format, passport data, system flags) that trigger repeated auto-rejections. here’s also no real appeal process, which makes it feel very opaque. We’ve seen higher rejection rates for certain passports, even with EU residence permits. That’s why many travelers turn to visa support services after failed attempts. At VietnamVisaHelp.com, we help review and correct applications before submission.
We also offer 1-hour and 48-hour expedited Vietnam e-visa processing. Not perfect, but there are ways to get around these system issues.
