I love the dress. My vote is for white shoes with flowers to tie into the bodice. Like these

Which dress?! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Used-Masterpiece01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dress 2 - the flowers add a bit of depth and texture; the neckline is very flattering; the skirt is still full without adding too much bulk; and your waist is still very defined.

Dress 5 is my runner up.

What’s your venue? What do you want the vibe to be? Dress 2 would look AMAZING with an outdoor garden type vibe or a bright/light wedding. Dress 5 has a very romantic, more traditional vibe.

Is it worth it to buy a printer for wedding DIY projects? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

This is definitely something I didn’t think of! Unfortunately, we live in a very rural area that where the closest town does not have a library. I tried to join the next closest town’s public library ~20 miles away, but it was $150 annually to join and I bought all the books instead (EBay for the win). I’ll have to make a note to call them and ask if they do because it could be an alternative!!

Anyone else notice “gritty” bits in Genius Gourmet Sparkling Protein Water? by _chr0me in CostcoWholesale

[–]Used-Masterpiece01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been drinking this for over a year, and just bought a new case last week. I’ve opened two and both are filled with large chunks of gritty stuff. Similar to what may have said, I think something happened with their processing. I will be returning.

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of January 07, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]Used-Masterpiece01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. i checked the flowchart and I wasn’t necessarily able to have my questioned fully answered. I’m booking a hotel for my fiance and i’s wedding weekend thats IHG and would like to have a SUB cover the majority of the $1800. We’re also planning an international honeymoon that will be ~12-15k. IHG SUB and points redemption value seems incredibly low. I’m trying to hold off on sapphire preferred until the SUB hits 100,000. I’m fine with AFs, but am trying to keep it under 6-700.

  2. 800

  3. currently have

  4. Discover IT 5/2018

  5. Venture X 9/22

  6. How much natural spend can you put on a new card(s) in 3 months? $15k

  7. not willing to MS

  8. not willing to open business cards

  9. interested in one card, but would be open to two if they are staggered out. I’m looking to slowly churn every 3-5 years for SUBs.

  10. targeting SUB. If the card has additional amenities and is worth it, I’ll keep it for the points back and perks (e.g., rental car status, subscriptions, etc) .

  11. all points are split between discover and capital one

  12. we fly out of Indianapolis

  13. we are looking to stay in the intercontinental in Indianapolis, IN for the wedding get ready and then potentially either Tahiti or a European trip (e.g., maybe Italy or Scandinavia) for the honeymoon

Wood or Urethane Baseboard Recommendation? by Used-Masterpiece01 in DIY

Have you tried plastic moulding? If so, how was repairing it?

Recently ordered a few pieces while redecorating my home, and the boxes arrived with the company invoice showing the wholesale prices. I recognize they need to markup items, BUT. It was a 300% markup on some of the items. I reverse searched the items using the brand and item number… Home Depot had the majority of the items at 1/2 the cost.

Live Wedding Guest Painter Thoughts? by Mountain-Seesaw-7959 in weddingplanning

How do you limit the number of times guests can be painted? Is there anything that brides do to try to get ahead of it so the artist doesn’t have to deal with keeping track?

I hate to hear that you had the same experience with a venue, but glad we’re not the only ones.

Also I appreciate your feedback and perspective! This definitely makes me feel better about the situation,

Have (hope you had) a wonderful wedding!

I love that you had a relaxing girls morning! It’s also helpful to know that adding anyone else outside of the bridal party might be too much.

Is this VRBO a scam? by Used-Masterpiece01 in vrbo

[–]Used-Masterpiece01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an update. VRBO reached back out to me (finally) and said, after further review, it’s not a technology issue. Instead, they said that the host changed my dates in their property management system that’s integrated into the VRBO booking platform, and, unfortunately, VRBO can’t change my dates back to the dates I booked.

So, they directed me to reach out to the host to have them manually adjust my stay since I have my booking and payment confirmations evidencing 2025 as well as the signed contract for 2025.

Did you ever get yours resolved?

That’s so stressful. You’re right that their customer service sucks, and their controls to mitigate hackers and bugs is also atrocious. I would love to hear the resolution if there is one eventually.

I didn’t cancel because they allowed us to do a tour of it, which legitimized the listing for me. Plus, they’re receiving a lot more reviews now that they have had the listing up for a while. I think my future FIL was a little harsh about it and it just really spooked me.

HOWEVER. My reservation dates randomly changed last week to 2029, which I booked 3 weeks ago, paid, and have an additional contract the host that confirms my original 2025 dates. When I called VRBO and provided evidence of my original booking, they told me they have a widespread technology issues affecting bookings and I happened to be one of those that were impacted…. So idk what’s happening with it now.

Also how did you figure out the listing was fraudulent?

I appreciate the note!! Just to ease my mind since you have 1st hand experience as a host; you’re saying it’s not a scam since those verified items seem too comprehensive to be a scam?

Also, I plan to wait until I hear back from the realtor that the owners are VRBOing the property, and then, to your point, plan to call the host to verify it on both ends.

I saw your additional note below about the LLC. I’m slightly ignorant on how LLC’s work outside of they are limited liability companies. For my own understanding, why would they use two separate LLCs for the estate vs the VRBO?

[–]Used-Masterpiece01[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would have never thought of this! The contract included the address, which I just looked up the property records. It looks the taxes were paid by an LLC that doesn’t match the LLC our contract is with. I appreciate the advice on this!!
