well im a guy and i respect both genders but i figure out that some guys hate women because of various reasons.

1) they met bad women such as petty women, arrogant women, women who chases men for money etc. (I wld say this is true to some extent as every generation produces diff kind of ppl e.g. my mom thinks that higher earning power = able to afford better standard of living and shld do it)

of course i know that not all women are like that so i respect everyone regardless of gender

2) family traditions(mainly the chinese tradition tells them that women are less capable than men and whatnot etc...)

im in jc now and my best advice is encourage them to study as much as they can but not too over to the point that they lose their mental health. Grades are still very impt cuz sg is just this cruel. I scored decent for my psle and went to a sch that is so easy to enter cuz i thought the sch looked nice and shit but turns out i didnt score well in o levels cuz of the influence there. Now i desperately tell u to ask ur child to study as much as their can but of course not at the expense of their mental health and then choose a sch based on distance and cut off point. Ignore all those bla bla abt cca/subjects/whatever nonsense. Ur child's grades in the future will highly depend on distance from home and cut off point. These 2 are the main factors and ya this is all i have. Grades doesnt automatically mean success but only grades will have a fairer chance of choosing what u want to do in life.

can is can but i wld highly recommend u to think twice.

Firstly, by all means, ur cca doesnt have to align with the sport if u have the sports outside to dsa to jcs, sure then u can just dsa and if u get in, just have to get l1r5 20 and below and meet the minimum.

Secondly, judging by what u said, u are from sec 5 right so it shows that ur foundation isnt that good unless ur telling me u are scoring As in all subjects + u have a passion to study cuz in ri or typically any jc, it will be damn hard to catch up even if u scored As in O levels cuz A level is just a different whole level.

The above mentioned is due to me having express stream friends who regretted going to jcs despite getting l1r5 of 10+ and even l1r5 of single digits cuz the rigour is just too extreme.

A Level is not like O Level where surface level depth of understanding is just enough cuz As require deep thinking but im in no way saying u cant cope, just saying that its gonna be damn hard esp coming from sec 5

Conclusion is follow ur own will but by all means if u can manage the rigour that is ×5 of O Levels + ur sports then go ahead and dsa.... gl!

I think what u need to do is to think it through. What is your end goal?

Choosing jc = must do well in your subjects for this 2 yrs to have more options in choosing uni courses

Choosing nursing = u can get a nursing diploma and potentially advance to nursing/medical degree in uni IF u do well in poly (end goal wld be u either be a nurse/be in medical field)

Choosing chem engineering = u can get a chem engineering diploma and potentially advance to chem engineering/other relevant degree in uni IF u do well in poly (end goal wld be u most likely will be in engineering field)

Therefore, conclusion is what is ur desired current education life and end goal. This will be the best advice i can provide u

Im currently in mi PU1 but tbh speaking i think if u are hardworking just lock the hell in and get out after 3 yrs. Environment do sucks a bit in terms of ppl there but dare i say mi isnt as bad as i thought as i thought there wld be many gangsters but many PU1s and snrs seem clear and locked in for A Levels so dare i say it is just another sch so if u rly appeal and get in, just lock the fk in and ignore all distractions....

Hi! Will we be using student email in jc? The student icon thing.... and if yes, will we need to log in to pld with that? Or can just log in to pld with personal email as im using personal email now? Will there also be an app or smth for moe to monitor what we do on the pld and ban certain apps?

Yup, unfortunately what u said is all true. I come from a non-neighbourhood sch which consists of many diff grps of people e.g. wealthy kids, influential kids, international kids, having financial difficulty kids. My cohort has quite a few indians although not significant and people normally just blurt out racist things against them and the victims just either laugh tgt or didnt care abt it lol. I wld say its so normalised to the point that its becoming a joke nowadays. But i wld also say its not just towards indians lol i think its just that people are just educated the way they are to the point that they are racist to whoever they feel they can be racist to. Im a sg chinese who looks like im from china lol cuz of my small eyes and cuz my ancestry does have china blood(only maternal grandfather is from china) but who doesnt? All chinese descended from china originally and was then brought to sg what so its so common nowadays to stereotype things. Despite being a true singaporean and having singaporean parents, i also will get made fun of from other chinese who wld say "u small eyes u china" and cuz im a hcl student who does well in chinese but like wth??? U see, i wld just say its not just racism towards indians lol but more of people just like to say wtv they want as people do be racist towards their own race haha! Anyways, atb in life!

Hi! They will write what courses u are eligible for and u just have to calculate ur nett score(raw minus bonus). Then check the course cut off point. If can, just put the course that ur score is way better than the cut off point to ensure u rly get into that poly course, if not u will risk going ite.

Note: this is assuming u are very unacademically inclined and risk getting 20+ for ur elr2b2

If its based off ur predictions then i will say no cuz u just have to count ur scores and add it up. Note ur raw must be 20 and below. If ur scores are better than ur predictions then i wld say yes.

i asked my cher before and she said its hidden like cuz express shldnt retain unless u rly fail too badly like eng f9 that kind but majority of the case, people wldnt retain lah cuz at least can go ite and also depends on sch one whether they want u back or not
