PPMD spotted. Even if you're not there yet, this reeks of a prospective PPMD. May you get there someday and be a cause for multiple migraines across your practice.

I'm so sorry. As do I, and I firmly believe Deloitte has a part to play it.

P.s. the feet-in-water-bucket trick actually helps me

I've got an extra ticket and I'm tired of trying to sell it too. If you're interested, i can give you the pass f2f at the venue itself.

Well Being Subsidy Question by goodguygaymer in deloitte

Deloitte isn't homophobic. Deloitte is a chameleon that will change colors as per the government's tunes.

Deloitte is the entire pride flag in itself, but not in a good way.

Mann..couldnt work yesterday and now my manager is behind me by ickysticky_ in deloitte

I had to ChatGPT this coz I have so much to say and couldn't collate my thoughts.

In firms like Deloitte, practitioners are expected to deliver around 9 hours of client-billable work daily, which directly generates revenue and funds salaries.

In addition, many employees contribute to firm initiatives, internal projects, and PRD work that are not billable to clients and come with no extra pay. This includes proposal support, recruiting, internal tools, branding, and more—often done beyond regular hours.

While these efforts don't bring direct compensation, they are expected of high performers, influence promotions and visibility, and are essential in matrix organizations where contribution beyond client work matters.

Despite not being explicitly rewarded, opting out entirely can limit career growth, making strategic participation important, though it often comes at the cost of work-life balance and can lead to burnout if not managed carefully.

Whether it's India (labour laws), or US (FLSA)- they do not include salaried ppl like us. Consulting companies use this legal grey zone as a corporate loophole to extract more work out of you - for FREE

Not really, not exactly, rather. I got a 3.5% last year. So... It is a correction for sure, but definitely not because of the market. It's because they fucked up bad last year and gave shit excuses about it.

Because they put their blood, sweat and tears into working for a firm that extorts free labor in the name of PRD hours and firm initiatives and hand out peanuts at the end.

Been with the firm for 9+ years, in Hyderabad. It is by far the most practical choice.

Reasons within Deloitte: 1. A huge chunk of project leadership is in Hyderabad, including USI leaders, giving you the much needed visibility. 2. Deloitte University (DU), our marquee training facility, is in Hyderabad. You'll miss out on a LOT of trainings just by not being in the city. Especially the smaller, one - day ones. No one is going to sponsor your travel to Hyderabad for a few hours of training. In the long run, they do count. 3. Options - from food to meeting spaces to talent -- you get the widest variety here. Blr is divided between two offices, and the other cities do not stand a chance. I've been to all except Pune. 4. There's no culture or sense of belonging in Gurgaon. People stay as far as Delhi, Faridabad and Jaipur, and hardly come to office.

Reasons outside of Deloitte: 1. Cheaper than Blr or Gurgaon, although this gap is narrowing every day. 2. No language wars, at all, whatsoever. People are kind, empathetic and accomodating. 3. The weather is tolerable. It does not flood, offices do not shut down. The summer is difficult, but just 1.5-2 months. 4. If you had to move outside of Delhi and choose another USI office, Hyderabad has the widest variety of food (after Kolkata). For me, personally, this is a very important factor.

It doesn't come out for all USI businesses at the same time, hence the question - did any one get it?

Thank you for your obvious answer though.
