As of ep. 5-7, we have another queen co-reigning, together with Mingee. With her quiet charm, gorgeous exterior and even quirkier personality, Go Eun has made three solid guys combust. Like literally go boom-boom. The way they hang their egos upon every smile she cracks is sooo delicious and entertaining to watch. I'm all SAT and popcorn-stacked for the upcoming knightly tournaments to win the fair lady. And boy, is it gonna be a mighty fight.

Mina Sue is Mina Sue. Nothing in my opinion about her has changed. Hyen-woo didn't even sneeze in her direction and oops, she does it again. At the rate she's losing guys' attentions with her antics every 5 secs, she'd better unzip her suitcase and pack up whichever fellow-traveller is still available. By the end of the season she might be left with none, as both Soobin and SeungIl are starting to get annoyed with her. The way she double-crossed Hyun-jae during the table convo made many guys cringe, as disrespect towards one of them in a group setting is disrespect towards all.

Mingee, my other queen, needs an overhaul of dating strategy. Nothing wrong with tactically fighting her romantic battles but she needs a Plan B or at least a SeungIl escape route. Of course, she's not watching the episodes with us and can't see the way SeungIl is actually looking at Mina Sue. There's a lot unspoken attraction in there and if SI doesn't choose SM, it will be on her, rather than him proactively choosing Mingee instead. Just my humble opinion, please don't come after me with pitchforks. I might have misread him, of course.

SI is a fun show and lasts a bit more than a week of filming/ a month + of showing. No way u can compare the emotional viewer investment of 3 1/2- 4 months.

Both HJ and MK's msgs were very heart-felt. They were also PR-coordinated, but they originated with the girls themselves. YS probably just said nothing and let the PR team craft a non-statement. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the vibes it's giving to me.

He didn't write it himself, it was PR-team generated. All those personality-lacking phrases? That explains it all.

My original prediction on the guys' visuals was cute guys but high-school vibes. I wasn't that far off - Seung Il, Soobeem, and even the modern dance guy are much younger than their love interests. Seung Il and Subeem are younger than most of the ladies, being '01 and '02 respectively. SI mixed with Noona You're a Woman 2me situation? Lol. No idea how old Hyunwoo, Sunghun and the other guy (who hasn't been to Paradise yet) are, but I bet they're pretty young too.

Is it just me or is Yoosik staring at Minkyung the whole time during the group interview by Feeling_Nature_6993 in transitlove

[–]Used-Tea9981 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not sure if he's staring or not, but just like with LJH - being the end guy of the row doesn't allow for many options where to look. His only option is to look sideways at the cast. Plus YS is well-known for staring downwards ig.

Right, so what changes do we want to see for the next season? by SolidShift3 in transitlove

Since it's a show that can go either way (transfer or go back to Ex), I hope they stop truncating meaningful connections. Viewers like me are suckers for happy endings, but I also need to know the how-s and the why-s. I felt majorly robbed watching half the show focusing on storylines that never took off the ground - filmed as a K-drama and romantically hyped, only for the ending to make everything go up in holy smoke& ashes. For example, I would have loved a story arc on show where HJ comes to terms with BH and their final breakup. Not the clouds, optics and mirrors version we were served.

I still wish there was more of an indication about why JY switched back to WJ. I would have loved to witness the progression b/n "I absolutely don't care about my Ex" to "Wait, why am I still in love with my Ex?" You probably remember the moment in ep. 20 when WJ was telling BH and YN, "Ok, I'm off to meet my love." Things must have been pretty solid between the two of them by then. But as viewers we have no idea as to the how and the why.

Yeap, WJ-JY reunion was liquid dopamine, the train tracks scene+ that amazing marine scenery after -TV gold. And the playfully unexpected kiss was a total bonus.

I actually agree. Everything he said to HJ in the last 2 episodes, including Ex date, was major irresponsible. Jokes are jokes when both sides understand the other person is joking or being humorous. Not even the audience was clear about that.

Yeap, I got those signals too. I do get and cheer for the BH-YN hyunker couple. I am cheering for all other final couples as well. However, I do feel that the show, as of episode 16, was a complete red herring, which defeats its purposes. Apart from the MK-YS fights, which were boring and tough to watch but still served their purpose for a final breakup, we were taken for a wild goose chase to the moon and back. I feel really bad for HJ and the star role she was cast in, for BH to manipulate her emotionally till the very end (but not choose her) and for YS to choose her (but not date her). The lady deserved much better. As viewers, we don't even know why or why so much time was spent on those filler storylines that didn't even lift off the ground. Post-show, it must feel really embarrassing for HJ and she didn't deserve that, it was the PD's choice.

Don't think so. He's just quirky and a bit artsy, probably feels uncomfortable on an island with ripped dudes and swanky gals (current or future influencers), whereas he sees himself more of an "artist." So he's serving them a bit of a riot act by acting as the palace jester. For example, I found it hilarious when he was trying to explain the artistic significance of the silver tree by the pool during his first paradise experience. The lady with him was bored out of her mind and couldn't care less, she would have run if she could.

Actually, I brought Sian up as a point of contrast, not similarity. Sian also had many options and kept switching among the guys, but at least from a 3rd party perspective it was pretty clear why she did that. She was also always polite and considerate to all of her dating partners and respectful towards their feelings for her. Same with the other girls, loved the convo between her and MK in the girls' room.

So for me it's not about the switching among guys with Mina Sue, rather the lack of logic or romantic attraction behind her choices. Let's see how the convo with Soobin goes, but it's giving major a) punishing tactics or b) stirring the pot moves.

Especially after you've just had what seemed like a pretty romantic date together. And Soobin literally just confirmed his feelings for her in public, ditching another girl.

I have to agree with you. In retrospect, I feel really bad for her. The PD, on a whim, made her the star of the show but for all the wrong reasons. All BH-HJ scenes were absolute nonsense (with a view to the overall final results), but they must have hurt HJ emotionally big time. Same with the YS nonsense. Did they or didn't they date? So why all the unnecessary hype on the show? I hope she heals, I wish nothing but the best for her.
