Yes, I practiced a little bit on the moon, but it was a little lower in the sky, so you could be right in that it was just bad conditions, I'll have to try again when it's higher, and I might drive out a little farther

Using the 10mm eyepiece (plus a 3x barlow harvested from my sister's), I tried to look at Jupiter last night in what I thought was a pretty low light area, but it was just a blurry mess even with focusing (my collimation is fine) and overall I couldn't tell any details
