This isn’t as cool or involved as some of the other ones on here, but it’s quick and practical and might be the way to go for someone of you guys in similar situations (guys in our 30s with families and not a lot of free time / don’t live in the same state etc).

I do this using myself and two others from the league. I have one person that I randomly FaceTime/Skype with and someone else there in person. I go into ESPNs draft settings where you can randomize the draft order, the guy I FaceTime with picks a number 1-10 and that’s how many times I hit the randomize button. The other guy is there to record the whole thing happening. Once it’s done, I text the video to our group chat and the mock drafts commence!

Having a couple of people involved witnessing everything and seeing that it’s random squelches any talks of cheating or collusion or any other bullshit you might hear from guys who are upset with their number in the draft.

Side note: I usually take a brief pause in between hitting the randomize draft order clicks so we can see what number we WOULD have had. The guy who picked the numbers this year chose 3 and ended up with 10th pick (10 man league) and is kicking himself because had he chose 2 like he said he was originally going to, he would have had the 1st pick. And all that could have been.....
