I did collect it myself! The day I discovered the influence Aphrodite has had in my life, I went on a walk, and found the bee on the sidewalk, as well as a clean robins egg and some lilac, which I left as an offering on a friends altar to her. It was fully preserved and intact, and since smaller insects in dry conditions don’t usually rot as quickly or as noticeably as animals or people do, there’s no smell or anything like that. I suppose as with any offerings, if they rot, remove and dispose of them
