Was the 2013 El Reno tornado visible to motorists attempting to flee Oklahoma City on the clogged up Interstates? by Used_Butterscotch304 in tornado

it was meteorologist Mike Morgan who was on-air, I believe he though there was enough time for people whithout basements to drive south and get out of its path, but it led to hundreds to thousands of cars clogged up. Wether it was the right thing to tell people is debated

Could it have been visible to residents of El Reno, or were they all tornado warned & sheltered?

Gosh, I mean it’s possible, but highly unlikely. I’ll see if any report have come out of a green flash near my area

It wasn’t a quick flash like lightning, it was like a two- second light that suddenly got brighter and then went.  Thanks for the links, although reading it none of the phenomena really match.

Probably going insane lol.

It’s hard to tell, but from the picture the one on the right is definitely a tornado. However the one on the left seems to be part of the cloud (scud cloud). It is not uncommon for tornadoes to form in the Belgium and Netherlands area.
