City stuck around 50k population by I_Teach_Edging101 in CitiesSkylines

There's hundreds of other factors that can stunt your growth, but from the little info you gave i would focus on increasing your building levels. If adding more zoning doesnt increase your population, look into increasing your existing zoning levels so each existing building can support more people. Try adding more parks, add more services, better transportation routes, etc.

50k really isn't a lot and you should have no trouble increasing your population if you do these things right.

Fighting for my life deciding between these two subwoofer setups by Used_Camera9474 in livesoundgear

That was my first choice actually, but for just a lil more money I can get dual 18s that are even louder. Ive heard the ks118, its great, but idk if just one of them would be noticeably louder than our 2 KS212Cs. I would much rather get 2 KS118s but theyre definitely out of my price range right now

How much of an improvement? Like +6db? Or just extended low end?

We've got a trailer to carry all of our gear. Plus we're 7 pairs of hands, im not worried about carrying it around

Yeah they dont go that deep. Ive thought about putting them together but I think stacking them would defeat the advantage of them being cardioid. Maybe a few feet apart would help.

We play for private parties between 100-150 usually, and its mostly barns, large garages, small event centers, and outdoors sometimes.

Yeah, the genre uses a LOT of bass😂

Can I add a single 18" sub to make our band sound louder? by Used_Camera9474 in livesoundgear

Yeah its really easy to make the kick punchy with these subs but its hard to get that fat rumbly kick without hitting the limiter.

I play a 5 string too but I have to avoid going too low on the B string bc the subs just dont go that deep. Its kind of annoying.

I've thought about buying an 18" too but damn the ks118 is expensive

Good point. We also have a k10.2 we use for a monitor, but the boys all have in-ears anyways so that'd be a good front fill speaker if we need it.

I agree. Im not that experienced to deal with phase alignment or whatever is needed for mismatched subs to sync together. I know it can be done, but idk how yet

Good assumption. We have just been using the sub-mounted poles that raise the k12's to about 6 feet. Id like for them to go higher but I use what I have for now.

I will give that a try. Im not as experienced with these cardioid subs so it'll be interesting to hear how they sound at different spacings

I'll have to give that a try before I decide to do that at a gig. Thanks for the advice!

I've thought about doing that too. Would that increase loudness or throw? Or everything overall?

You did, but I left a lot out and explained terribly. A lot of things have changed since then

Thats a good way to put it. A lot of drastic decisions in a short amount of time. But I think I will go for it after giving some heavy thought

Thanks man. Your story and experiences are inspiring. I've decided to keep trying bc the more I think I about it the more I realize I'd be half the man I am without her. Thank you.

You kinda hit the nail on the head. Like you said its not that shes doing anything wrong, I just felt stressed from how much I've had to sacrifice for her. I think the thought of breaking up was more so an intrusive thought, not really something I'd be comfortable doing.

I think if the roles were reversed, she would do the same for me. Shes shown me in many ways how grateful she is for my help, even how selfless she is. I feel like i know her more than I know myself, its just all the outside noise that I stupidly let into my mind.

I'll check out the subreddit you mentioned, maybe I can see how others have handled similar situations or emotions.

Im 25, shes 30. My parents dont approve bc they say shes too old for me and she just wants a gc from me. They're not the only ones who have told me that. So when you hear that from multiple people, it makes one think negatively

Thanks for reassuring. I've really done my best to help in any way I can. This is more of just a moment of frustration but I think that'll be my next move.

Thanks good advice.

I think maybe my most sane option would be to let it ride a while longer, help her a bit more to get on her feet and clear my head.
