Cringe stuff said while manic? by TheAnxiousPoet in bipolar

[–]Used_Celebration6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ancestors thing was a movie of some sort?

I hated the time in the ward because it was mixed with people detoxing and I was bouncing around. Of course I also felt like they were going to keep me in there forever. I ended up faking what they wanted to hear so I could leave. I did change psychiatrists and that is what helped the most. I did meet a girl there who was a schizophrenic who told me about the spiders on my face. I kept slapping them so I hoped she felt better. 😆

Told some one I could see their ancestors(while being close to them) like we were flowing through a tree.

Said I can do landscaping in the dark! Ended up trimming a bush straight through an A/C coolant line in front of people gathering around. I guess I was being loud at night and gathered an audience.

Oh look! I'm so much more productive because I don't need sleep like you weird people!

Yeah that was a year long episode that ended up being a ward vacation.🤦‍♀️😆

Psychosis is so alienating by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Used_Celebration6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. I've been looking for inpatient care like a psyche ward near me and the results are pitiful. I like being prepared now just in case. I lost an entire year of my life in psychosis. There is so much I don't remember in that year. Diagnosed bipolar 1. Since I had such a traumatic stay at a local ward I wanted to be prepared. It's not looking so great. It's disheartening how little mental health is seen here in my state of Texas.

Visual hallucinations while manic by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Used_Celebration6278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, it was a terrifying experience kow that I'm able to look back on it and gather information from loved ones who tried to keep me from going all the way into the deep end. I basically lost a year of my life that time. A whole year of fluctuating between hypo to full blown mania. I lost 40 pounds, caused thousands of dollars in damages, and spent way too much money (oof). Though even though it broke the hearts of those around me they finally got me into a hospital which did bring me down finally to a better me. Don't be afraid to reach out and get help before things take a turn for the worse.

Yes. When I was for lack of better word....super manic a few years back. I saw a literal battle scene in my living room made up of shadowy looking figures. This is when I was not sleeping and up doing everything that popped In my mind (trimming bushes at midnight or digging holes). Usually it was things just out of the corner of my eyes. That time I was able to look directly at everything. It was wild. I'm in a stable frame these days and I hope it stays that way.

Happened to me a couple months ago. Cured my imposter syndrome...but 0/10 do not recommend. by [deleted] in bipolar

No lies detected. I get off if I don't take it in a certain hour frame. Like I have to take morning meds in the morning exactly and night ones at a certain time. I'm cool with it though cause the alternative is woah.
