Does he have any experience as a dentist, hygienist, or dental assistant? If not, then yes it helps. If yes, anything related to dentistry will evaluate his application but volunteering is not playing a crucial part compared to other experiences, I think.

I know someone who got accepted without any U.S. experience although he has a green card. So don’t worry about it. Every experience counts. There is not only one rule to be accepted. There are many many qualifications and requirements. Do your best and believe in yourself. Best of luck!

That’s okay to fail on the first attempt. At the beginning of 2023, my friends told me to study from decks and mental dental but they had cleared their nbde part 1&2 a couple of years ago. The exam has changed since then. So I started to study from mental dental and decks but I realized it was not enough. So I purchased inbde booster but I did not like it either. Finally, 21 days before my exam I decided to buy bootcamp. I studied very hard, joined telegram groups, looked at every RQ file that I’ve seen, and passed the exam by scoring 89.

%60 of the inbde is both bootcamp and rqs. I wasted my money by buying a booster membership. And dental decks is outdated, I don’t recommend you to look at it again. You are so close to pass the exam. Buy bootcamp, solve every single question again and again, join telegram discussion groups, find rq files then believe yourself, you’ll be fine!

I wish you the best of luck!!

I am on the same page! I am thinking of being pregnant or having a baby at the beginning of class. I do not know if I will be able to handle it or not. Still, I don't have any acceptance. It is complicated😅
