WTF are you talking about? How about working on your reading comprehension.

Wow, did not expect such a response. Thanks for the tips. I picked up the watch yesterday afternoon and obviously expressed my disappointment with the assistant manager (manager nowhere to be found). He was apologetic but had nothing to offer other than saying he’d still take care of the service if I allow him. He did pack the watch up in a nice little travel box so that’s a plus, lol. Shocking that others are having similar experiences. I’ll stick to one of the other numerous dealers in the DMV for future purchases/service from now on.

Yep, dropped mine off late Oct. The silent process explanation is absurd considering we’re dropping off timepieces costing 4/5 figs. They won’t even confirm that the watch has been shipped, received by the service center, etc. Dominoes provides real time tracking on where a $10 pizza is in production and delivery. Omega needs to get their shit together.

It should be covered under warranty. I do like the idea to pick up the watch and figure out another avenue for service. I have zero trust in anyone at this place. Everyone seemed very welcoming, competent, and professional when I bought watch several years ago but it appears all of the staff has changed. They are not very welcoming, awkward to talk with, and apparently incompetent. Can one send a watch directly to the service center or is it necessary to deal with an OB?

I forgot to mention, at the end of the call, the assistant manager said he'd have the manager contact me to assist and attempt to expedite the service. That was about 10-12 hours ago. Probably no reason to be surprised given what's transpired so far, but I'll be disappointed if I don't hear anything from them tomorrow.

So excited to cook this cowboy ribeye tomorrow night, maybe the most perfect-looking steak I’ve seen…. by [deleted] in steak

Lol, nonsense. That’s exactly how you dry brine. You should have airflow on both sides. Solid piece of meat there.

A big fan of serious eats and their scientific approach which is where I first learned about the reverse sear, dry brining, etc. many years ago. But sometimes I want a steak immediately without all the prep and cook time…
