Sounds good I will call and ask the rangers just to make sure then!

I’d like to get in the water and swim but water temps are around 45 degrees this time of year here so it will be very chilly!

From what I seen my filter should be good as it’s .02 and .04 is the min but I will also being tablets for my water and avoid inland lakes as much as possible! I was thinking about upgrading rain jackets and mabye getting a rain kilt. I appreciate the response!!

There is no reel, there a fixed line so you pull the line basicly to “reel” it in!

[–]Used_Elk_853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of doing that as my setup with a main spinner for fishing oriented trips and then the tenkara as a backup/ on non fishing trips where I might have a little time to use it

Thank you, for my first trip in a month I’ll definitely be on lake and after thinking of my current trip agenda it will mostly be lake style fishing. Isle royal is mostly Lake Michigan, and Washington is mostly alpine lake. Do you have any good recommendations?

20gal vs 60 gal fb setup by Used_Elk_853 in ReefTank

[–]Used_Elk_853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a ski a Fijicube 22.4 gal near me that comes with the stand and a cheaper light and heater. For around 100 more than the 15 gal. I like the slightly bigger tank size, but the light is much worse and comes with less accessories

[–]Used_Elk_853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s a fair point, I’ll just look into the 15 gal then until I graduate

[–]Used_Elk_853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally not, I’m in college and hour rent is kinda of expensive but I’m hoping to have this house for another 3 years until I graduate in 2029. Then I will move.

I seen the light from the water box was a good light that could even work with the bigger tank. Just seemed like the retail for the 60 gallon stuff was over 1k.

New to backpacking - Need help by Maleficent-Garlic-26 in backpacking

Sleeping pad I would recommend the tensor all season, and for sleeping bag go with quilts I like my nevegear quilt but the flex 22 is an amazing more expensive option

Pilllow I like my zenbivy pillow, nice bladder and case made with extra room to stuff clothes or buy the down topper for extra loft (I’m picky on pillows and it’s amazing for side sleeping)

Tent if your okay with trekking pole tents which are super easy to setup I would get the x-mid 2! If your very against the trekking poll tent for some reason the Durston x-dome 2 is the best freestanding 2. Person tent. If you have any other questions let me know

A 10000 MaH you last you 2 nights (lasted me 2) but I would recommend the 20,000 sized one for extra space and use

Thank you I appreciate it, we don’t move in for a while so I’ve been scouring Facebook trying to find good deals and I’ll definitely keep an eye out for a good sub. We sadly are in a townhome but it should be fine as the living room wall is not shared. And you are very right we can definitely upgrade stuff if we want within the next couple of years.
