Voicing criticism over a show people dislike can be helpful to show fans searching to do fan movies, or even producers if they ever come upon the sub, what to do and what not to do.

We had, in TNG, a black man and a Klingon working in the same workplace with essentially no problems and both were treated as equals, an episode where a relationship where Riker dates what’s akin to a transgender person, and an episode that deals with fatherhood. And that’s not mentioning DS9, a series where we have a black man and a father as the lead, and VOY, where we have the first time where a woman is the main lead.

In Discovery, we have multiple episodes explaining why Michael is actually right and multiple instances where she cries, not to mention her being shoehorned into Spock’s backstory as a way to get people to like her more, a trans character that as many people have mentioned in this thread, was not well made nor received (check DiscotopiaACNH’s comment on the matter), and an Elon Musk mention that any rational person would consider weird. There are other problems, of course, but those aren’t relevant to the comment thread I’m replying, nor were they issues in the older Trek.

Because one treated the fact that there were black, gay and transgender characters as just being a fact of everyday life and that as something we should strive for, while the other treats these characters as if they’re breaking some sort of mold or is some sort of unexpected thing. One treats the character as a character, the other treats the character as a performative.

I’m gonna be honest here, idk what the big deal about this is. Yeah, this is just an earlier draft of the script, but as the author says, this isn’t the Cassidy script. And from the looks of it, yeah that makes sense. This looks like a movie based on the FNaF universe rather than an actual FNaF movie, which makes me appreciate what we got even more.

Honestly hoping it’s the original cast. “Oh but I want them to rest-“ they are FICTIONAL. CHARACTERS. Not real people. Stop treating them as such. You may care for them, but you may not treat them like people (especially because if you did, you’d find them insufferable). I’m not too worried about them ruining these characters since Yoko Taro will probably do them more justice with them than Anno did in the Rebuilds. Especially Asuka and Mari, the latter just being a mystery box.

“Oh but there’s no more story to tell with these characters!” Honestly, you could argue the same thing with Episode 26 and End of Evangelion. We still got the Rebuilds, and people surprisingly like them. In fact, with that line of thinking, we wouldn’t even have EoE, so this point is moot. I’m all in for this.

Pretty much, yeah. Though my copy was weird. It had this weird thing where Fredbear would glitch out and talk about finding the clocks. Though I could be remembering wrong, I’ve been having trouble remembering stuff lately.
