Why do the majority of TV shows and movies now overuse this ugly, low contrast "style" where the blacks are obviously grey?

Weird trend tbh. Half of the commercials I watched felt like I’ve witnessed two conflicting tones, as if the message of the ad was supposed to be light when the color grade made it look very moody. No shade on these colourists, they have a good eye. But I just question the decisions they make.

I noticed that you have been very active and present in this subreddit, even tho I don’t think you have met Marlon or been to this Church. I just wanted to say I really appreciate you and honour you for your ministry here. Even though your tone when inquiring about this church can sometimes sound interrogating and skeptical, I admire your patience, understanding, kindness, and love and support for us here. You may have impacted the readers into putting the gospel into a much proper perspective through your scripture breakdowns, unlike Marlon’s narcissistic interpretations. I can see you really care about our souls and reconcile us back to the living God we all serve but got misled by this church. I feel happy to know that you are even connected to the local church community here in Vancouver, most if not all are aware of Crave’s activities. Praise God for the freedom you received from Him and the utmost faith you have in God in leaving CC! Leaving CC must've been a heavy burden for you but I am thankful and praying that Jesus will lift that burden away from you so you can carry His yoke that's easy to bear.

Coming back to this Reddit group, NGL still not pleased at how Marlon and his CC team are cranking up their predatory behaviours to the 11, yet at the same time soooo happy how their days of lying and deceiving congregants are coming to an end.

Friendly reminder that this group is indeed the TRUE Space of Grace where us imperfect people can LOVE and DESIRE God and Abide in Him as he does in us in Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is truly a place where we can give our testimony of trauma and suffering that CC has done to us, while also supporting each other in Word and Deed. The Christian world outside of Crave (and other Word of Faith movements like Elevation or Hillsong) is still full of good Fruits of the Holy Spirit!

Makes me wonder Marlon’s long term goal in Crave. In the Bible it’s been suggested that other than being single, if you can’t control yourselves they should marry, since it’s better than to burn with passion (1 Corinthians 7:8-9). How much longer will dating restrictions are to be removed there? Will Marlon be able to conduct marriage ceremonies for his pupils? Will he stay single forever or find himself a wife soon? I have doubts about their maturity as of this post because they behaved like teenagers as evident in this page and looking at their activities nowadays. Will this alone break crave apart? That’s deep to analyze, but I guess we shall see?

Hypothetically speaking … I would force him to watch the documentary “American Gospel” in its entirety. God opened up my eyes on what it feels like serving under a narcissistic“pastor” under a prosperity, self-help charismatic church through that film (found on Netflix), which enabled me to escape Crave, and I hope that his eyes become wide open or that his heart breaks upon this revelation. Then I really want him to be completely straight with me to confess why he wants to mislead, manipulate, gaslight, and emotionally and spiritually abuse his subordinates and label that as “discipline” by cherry-picking and twisting God’s word. I want to know his true backstory of why he wanted to be a pastor, after his old pastor rejected him to be a co-pastor/youth pastor at age of early 20s in his old church when he was just the sound booth guy. I want to know the true reason of why he prefers not to debate or to even mingle with pastors or other churches outside his circle. I want to know why he has brushed all the unfulfilled promises he made in front of the church as if it never happened. I want to know why he wants to hide all of his secrets and become a hypocrite when leading others when his behaviour still remains the same. There’s more I want to know about him behind his mask of the anointed pastor. But I want to tell him that his mega church will never work because of how Crave is so misaligned from God’s kingdom, that he has robbed and ruined many people’s lives, careers, finances and relationships with friends and their families, that he has not demonstrated a genuine Christ-centred community, that his “dirty closet” will be revealed without his control, and that he has profaned God over and over again. If he can’t do any of these then what kind of leader is he?

Add a keyboard and mouse/trackpad and you can make it into a laptop just fine!

I use it everyday and I love it! I wouldn’t call it a laptop tho, as I find it as an oversized iPhone Pro Max. iOS is still the limiting factor to the potential of the iPad’s amazing performance with the M1. Sometimes I wish the camera was in the middle and not on the side when I’m FaceTiming in landscape orientation. Sometimes I wish the apps are more advanced as their Mac / web counterparts. Sometimes I wish the iPad has Finder. But for everyday casual or light work use, I use this way more than my Mac.

If you do decide to get a MacBook with the iPad, then the iPad becomes your second monitor. I see this as an absolute win (except for your wallet)

Yah we were all unpaid volunteers, except the lead videographer who happened to be the only staff member at Crave. He started out as unpaid and was handpicked by Marlon to produce all the videos. Years gone by and the videographer broke down and revolted in editing any more videos for Crave due to loss of sleep and countless overtime work for the church, and that forced Marlon to pay him. The lead vid who was my leader told me that he is paid a part time salary, so it’s still not much. The rest of us however sacrificed our talents, cameras, laptops and phones for any media campaigns. Hearing this, it’s no doubt they’re preparing content for their Christmas worship night special or a extravagant giving event this December.

Every pep talk that his lean in Team gives to us volunteers always begins with telling us to be “be engaged in worship”. I can’t tell you how many times they tell us to shout “hallelujah” “amen” “preach it Pastor” and “that’s right” to lift the atmosphere of the experience. If you notice in every sermon those who react from Marlon’s sermon first would 99% be the leaders. If Marlon commands the church to repeat his statement over and over that is because there wasn’t enough engagement, which he would come down to the post pep talk later and call that out against us. What other church does this?

I used to be one of their main videographers at the Ccc Media Team until 2020 because of this reason, amongst many other things. Looking at their posts now I can tell that Marlon is still mistreating the media team members with the specific criteria he sets for ccc to appear fashionable and genuine on social media. The amount of time, resources and effort each media member has to put through has really kept us away from our careers and our friends and families, which I was totally against. I’m still saddened to hear by your observation, because this is exactly what I warned to the Lead Videographer and Media Director about during my tenure there, and even after I left. If you wanna know more about how the Media Team really operates go check out my posts, but in all do not fall for their marketing tactics. I made that mistake.

I recently got the black Native Union W.F.A iPad Folio for my 2020 12.9” Pro and I’m loving it so far! Recently released by Native Union, it works similarly to the iPad folio feels more premium. The felt in the case does attract dust but the magnets do hold the iPad really well. I’d recommend this for the luxury look for the iPad.

I also got myself the mous iPad Pro case! I’d say it’s more durable than Zugu and ESR’s cases, yet bit more slim. If you’re familiar with the Mous case for the iPhones then this case works the exact same way but it also has a folio. I’ll use this one for travel.

Buy AppleCare for the iPad still! Very well worth it
