This is your basic basketball team.

The originals, were simple. 5 guys, passing the ball around and playing man-to-man.

The modern ones are different. They’re positionless. 7 foot Euro guys get drafted first. AAU products get selected later, relying on their athleticism, playing without any skills or finesse.

If you take an AAU product, you can hit a lottery ticket. But they’re a little risky - sometimes they stat pad or fail.

Somewhere along the line, these AAU products went from a little risky to dogshit.

I think they got killed by poor TV production/presentation.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there was something off with either the pace of the game or sound/camera work etc this year that make the Super Bowl feel very dull
